This dude used to be an advisor in the White House - and he was pulling refund scams. Good God, where is this country going? This guy pulled scams for items as little as $2.50... he wasnt stealing because he had to, he did it for the love of stealing. Couldnt someone have seen his character? Of course, I know those that hate Bush will say its cuz they are birds of the same feather. I am not so sure they are wrong.

I heard on the radio yesterday that some dude, they referred to him as a Dr., was arrested at his gov't office. He worked for something like Defense Information Services. They picked him up for Kiddie Porn charges, said he had the stuff on his G computer. What kinda of idiot does that???

We are becoming a country devoid of morales.

Bush's top domestic policy adviser arrested for swindling.
Pretty much what Bush is doing to the country so it makes sense.

And yet you have no proof of your assertion. Nothing that can take the guy out. No smoking gun.

He woke up again this morning and walked to the Oval Office to record his Saturday radio address.

Maybe next week. Then you'll get him.

Should be? Nope.

Is? Yep.

And I'm fine with it. The system itself is more important than OJ.

Well if this guy gets convicted than this is down right pathetic. Nothing I can say to sugar coat this.

That's it. I think we storm the White House and take over before those hippies I was reading about a few days ago beat us to it.

Only question is who gets what position?

Cast your vote!

What is the difference between a con artist and a politician? I think very little seperates the two.

Spoken just like a defender of the present stewards of that same system.

They're not wrong.

Read Dubya's or Jeb's or Neil's bios sometime. They read like "frauds 'R' us."

More troubling still, these same bios were availible prior to the 2000 elections.

But hey - those of us who warned against electing these kinds of crooks simply "hate" Bush, right?

ME!!!!!!

That is the grind now isnt it. And, no, I have no interest in that job.

It seems to me that some of the Greek Polis had a policy where all the landowners names were thrown in a hat and names were drawn. At this point in the republic, that might give us anything better than the a 40 million dollar presidential election.

Bush aide arrested for theft was also endorsed by fundamentalist Christian groups

Claude Allen, the former Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy who resigned suddenly a few weeks ago, was arrested yesterday and charged in a “retail theft scheme.” From the police report:

The Target Loss Prevention Manger contacted Montgomery County Police and through the police investigation it was learned that Allen had been receiving refunds in an amount exceeding $5,000 during last year. Some of the fraudulent returns were made at Target stores and some at Hecht’s stores. He would buy items, take them out to his car, and return to the store with the receipt. He would select the same items he had just purchased, and then return them for a refund. Allen is known to have conducted approximately 25 of these types of refunds, having the money credited to his credit cards.

Throughout 2005 he obtained refunds for items ranging from clothing, a Bose theater system, stereo equipment, and photo printer to items valued only at $2.50.

-----------

Here's a statement about Claude Allen from James Dobson's Christian "Focus on the Family" organization

"Focus on the Family is tremendously pleased with Claude Allen's appointment," said Peter Brandt, the Colorado Springs, Colorado-based-ministry's senior director of government and public policy. "Claude has a distinguished history as a champion for policies designed to build strong families and strong marriages, going back to his days in the state government of Virginia. He has been very strong as the number two man at HHS, and we believe Claude will serve the president well."

...and this from Tony Perkins, the President of "The Family Research Council," a fundamentalist Christian activist organization:

In a statement, Tony Perkins, the President of the Family Research Council, said: "Claude Allen is a strong advocate for family values and will undoubtedly provide the President trustworthy counsel on key domestic issues. Mr. Allen's appointment is a hopeful sign that President Bush is committed to a pro-family agenda for his second term. While we would have liked to have seen Mr. Allen confirmed as a federal judge, his new post within the White House suggests that the 'values voter' will have a strong voice within the administration on policy decisions affecting the family.

I agree at one time it was juist like at one time we had a great government in practice but that time has passed for both.
