They're talking about it on PTI rght now.
Thsi could screw up a lot of people's mock drafts.

They're talking about it on PTI rght now and kffl is reporting it too.
I assume then that they would not draft one of the top QBs if they sign Brees? Brick to NO? Mario Williams to NO? I can't see them drafting Lienert, Young or Cutler if they land Brees.

They could go with D'Brickashaw but they did take Jammal Brown in the 1st round last year.
This could get interesting.

They could land Reggie Bush there.

They said that the Miami Herald is reporting that the Saints are close to a deal with Brees.
How that's possible without tampering I'm not sure. I didn't think that they were allowed to talk to Brees until 12:01 EST.

I had heard that Lineart didn't want to go to NO anyway, unless they relocated the team sometime during his first contract. I think it would be a smart move for NO, trade that pick to build your team for the future.

I think it would be a good move to get Bush to revitalize the franchise. But Breess' shoudler is pretty fked up. Isn't Deuce McCallister coming off a serious injury too?

That's been going on for years CO. Sure reports that Bentley had agreed a deal with the Eagles were out last week.

Madison was released by Miami, he could be signed at any time. Brees' contract doesn't officially expire until 12:01 EST tonight.

Duh. I forgot he had been released. He's in the same boat as Glover.

Good Luck Drew!! He'll have a few weapons to work with if he goes to New Orleans or Miami.

Mario seems to be the consensus elite DE in this draft. Mario Williams I think.
And yes, Brees was cut so he could talk earlier than free agency.
Now we move into the uncharted waters...other than Putzier, we are set to make a few moves and draft.

more and more I think this is a good move for both parties. Brees goes to team that does have talent, but is missing a QB, and it close to his home. Saints won't win with a rookie QB, and Brees is young enough to lead that team for long time. Plus the depth of this draft will ensure that there good talent around Brees.
