Ironically, the Raiders are another of the "frugal four"! The Clots and Redskins are the other two.

The Raiders never clear extra cap room. They clear it as they need it.

If this were to happen.

Collins would be cut clearing over 9 million in cap room.

I would be real proud of that acquisition, the best thing he did for the VIKES last year was get hurt.

The Chiefs said no more cuts would be needed for them to get under the salary cap. That was BEFORE the new CBA.

When you factor in the new CBA they should be about 8 million under.

I am guessing NFL Network doesn't know **** about any of the contracts the Chiefs restructured.

I think that Bob knows Jar Jar Binks personally, so...I go with Bob. There's not much more credibility than that.

I dont think the Redskins should loose a draft pick for being in Violation...

I think we should get a HIGHER ONE!!!!!

If they didn't violate the cap, they wouldn't have had the same players on their team, and would have had a worse, maybe a much worse, 2005 season...

meaning we would have gotten a HIGHER PICK!!!

So, NFL, give us a TOP TEN PICK, dammit !!!

Um, pretty sure Collins has already been cut. Usually that's why you're on the list of UFAs.

To me Culpepper is another Arron Brooks. He is better than Collins but I would be interested in what type of contract he is going to get.

Collins has not been cut. When the deadline was extended, we rescinded the cut.

The Raiders last week released starting quarterback Kerry Collins, then rescinded the move when the league delayed the start to the free agent signing period. Collins' status with the team remains in limbo, in large part because of a prohibitive salary cap figure for 2006 that the Raiders would prefer to reduce.

Whatever list he is on is wrong as of right now, although he will likely be cut. Selling another year of Collins to the Raiders fans will be like trying to sell a dental plan to a Chiefs fan.

Im guessing you dont realize Adam Schefter, food asswipe that he is, has good contacts everywhere and is rarely wrong.

But, then, you are usually wrong, so why should I be surprised.

Just wait till they grab TO tonight.
Who will they cut? We'll take Tony Gonzalez off your hands. Help you out with the cap a little.

I read that article and posted it for people to read...
some of those agreements may have been contingent on not getting a new CBA..
