View Full Version : NFL : New CBA restricts penalties for players
ESPN.com's Chris Mortensen reports the new collective bargaining agreement restricts disciplinary action against a player to four weeks. The four week penalty would include weeks when a team decides to deactivate a player for disciplinary reasons. The restriction was put in place after the Philadelphia Eagles suspended WR Terrell Owens for four weeks and then deactivated him for the rest of the season.

What good will it matter? The iggles deactivated TO for the year but could just as easily went the Greg Williams route and benched his bitch ass. They paid him anyway. Let his punk ass suit up and let his punk ass sit on the bench.
I do think that the union is overstepping their bounds on this though. If its about fairness to the employee, its gotta be fair to the employer and they are crippling the coaching, and ownerships ability to operate smoothly.
