View Full Version : Do I Upgrade?

Time once again to renew my U of Maryland season seats and I have the opportunity to move down to the first level, but the seats avilable are only in the 1st 10 rows behind either bench (purple areas on stadium map-sections 3-7 or 21-27). Has anyone ever really sat THAT low beind the bench at a college or pro game? Noone I have talked to has experienced things that close. I mainly wanna know how much the players obstruct the view.
the seats that caught my eye the most are the ones that wrap into the endzone (section 21), away from the 50, but i think the view would be less obstructed.
Mind you, i am currently in the upper deck, on the 50, w/ noone sitting in front of me. the only obstruction is the safety railing in front of me.
any help would be great.

id move down, being close to the action is always great, and plus, you can always stand on your chair ;D

I would move down as long as your about 10 rows up.

My CU tickets are on the 50 up high - great view, but other old farts in the area are a pain. Used to be low on the ten yard line. That was fun, but sometimes the team and the bench folk got in the way. As a senior in college I had tickets in row 1, 35 yard line behind the visitor bench. Heard some serious sh*t down there, but couln't see anything. All depends on what you like and the arrangement of the stadium

the "couldn't see anything" is my biggest fear. we got miami and fsu coming to town this year. the last thing i'd want is to not be able to see those games cuz of the sidelines.

I have friends that have tickets in row 4 and row 10 on the 40 behind the players bench at the UofO (ducks). I've sat in the seats in row 10 and been (not for a whole game) in the row 4 seats. Both were amazing and no problems with seeing what was going on. I suppose it's all in how the stadium is built, too. So, the worst that can happen? Depending on demand, you sell your tickets and buy tickets for these games where you want to sit.

I'd take the closer seats, but I guess it all depends. At Hughes, it's built so that the first row is still about 5 feet above the benches. Awesome view of some cheerleader ass too.

I had a couple of friends that were Terps and they got us tickets that were like 15 rows up and were awesome. I think you would be fine as long as they are not in the first five.

Don't sit that close on the Maryland side of the field. You won't see anything because of Fridge.

3rd row @ Kansas City, their stadium is one of the closest to the field in the league, so i cant image 10 rows back having any obstruction other than the camera guy as shown below, but i was soo low, i could see under him
