I don't care how crappy this movie might be, I'm gunna be first in line to see it. I love Rocky flicks. Even 4 and 5, which were bad, I still watch them whenever they're on TV.

The only one worth a crap was the first one. The guy is like 55 years old. What always amused me about these idiotic remakes is how both boxers could take knockout blows again and again and just brush them off...I'm talking about 50 knockout blows or more. Enjoy them, I am not going to stop you...

I cannot wait. I grew up on Rocky Balboa. Yes he's old, and it's been a long time since his last one that he had brain damage in, but Rocky is still the man.

I normally don't go to theaters for movies, but I might just for this one.

ouch...doesn't look the same as he did going against Clubber Lang does he? I think Stallone is in his 60's. He looks good for his age but not as a boxer. Why not try and make it a dramatic film, showing all of his different ailments due to the life of a prize fighter, how he is screwed out of his money like so many of them, maybe his wife is dead his kid in jail, he lives with Pauly and he himself is losing his motor skills ability to function, he has to come to grips with his situation and realizes he has no regrets...he was given his shot and did the best he could with it, which is more than some get. (was that too long?)

Between this and Rambo IV, I guess it looks like I'll be donating around $15 to Mr. Stalone's pension fund. Really wish they would of named this Rocky VI though.

Perhaps it was because I was only born in 1984, and didn't see the movie until years later. It probably did have a different impact when the cold war was actually going on.

Tommy Gunn was 5.

In related news, that guy who played Tommy Gunn was a real boxer, had to retire because he got AIDS.

As a young pup, when Rocky II first came out, I found out first hand what an "edge-of-your-seat movie" was all about. The family went to the local drive-in to see the great Rocky Balboa fight Apollo one more time. At the end of the movie when the two fighters fell, I literally was in the backseat, climbing up over the front seat, hopping up and down, trying to will Rocky up off the mat before the 10 count. I remember screaming (I'm sure directly into my mother's ear), "GET UP! GET UP, ROCKY!"

After he just pulled himself up at the 10 count and won the belt, I went totally bat sh!t. Everyone was honking their horns at the drive-in. My brother and I were high-fiving each other. I think I was still crying tears of joy right through his classic line, "Yo, Adrian. I did it!"

Never had a movie experience like that again. Oh, how fun it was to be a kid back then. Thanks, Rocky!

I was 8 years old when I saw Rocky IV in the theatre and cried when Apollo Creed died at the hands of Ivan Drago. That just made the Rocky training montage scene even more intense, followed by Rocky's historic beat down of Drago in Moscow!!! :USA: Hilarious! I can't count how many times I watched it on HBO afterwards.

Yeah, he was pretty good in the begining. I think he was undefeated around 20 something wins with alot of knockouts at one time. He also took one of the most brutal knockouts against Ray Mercer. Dazed on the ropes then about 10 unanswered punches to the face, I think the ref should have stopped it five.

Rocky IV is the best out all of them because it the storyline sucked you right in. I hated Rocky V perhaps because the ending was in the street and not in the ring and Rocky never trained in that movie.

And then 40 year old Larry Holmes got Merciless Ray into the ring a few months later and administered a thorough boxing lesson to him. During on exchange on the ropes, dominated by Holmes, I clearly heard Larry tell Ray, "I'm not Tommy Morrisson!"

Never could get into the whole Rocky thing. The first one was alright. I guess it was partly because I could never get past a 5'6" midget beating 6'3" 225 lb heavyweight champions.
