Alright, so the guy is getting close to thirty, an Injury risk, has a big contract, and a statistical underperformer.... You'd think they'd keep him, all the same. He's a genuine Passrusher, which is what we really need.....So, I think Shanahan's tipped his hand a little. Look out for a cheap Pass rusher purchase again this year, as well as(Obvisouly) Drafting one or two in the first round. I see this as One good thing: A show of faith in the Brownco line. Brown, and Warren; also Aging underperformers with fat contracts, were retained(This is as of Wednesday night....this could change tomorrow).
In all honesty, we should have seen this coming. They threw him on the trading block last year, and he got little interest, so he reworked his deal. It's obvious they were unhappy with him.
Is it a good thing he was cut? Yes? No? Should we make a move for a big name rusher like Abraham(If we slughter the cap tomorrow)? Discuss.

He was a DT and a damn good one. Looking at the avg age of DTs it seems like they play at a higher level longer then most DEs. Other then White, Smith, and Strahan what DE's play that well that long after 30 anyways? Sapp is 33 and he had a very good year last year before it got cut short. If that man is cut I would LOVE to get him here. I can't stand him and the way he is but man that guy can rush the QB.

Ha! i agree.
First off, since when was 1 game a monster season? KC game he flat out rocked (vs. a backup i might add)
He was Houdini ALL season after that. Sure he got held, but what DL doesnt?? He is too old, back is obviously hurting him imo.
I do agree that we play more for the LB glory. DL hold up the OL and LB get to the QB. But on EVERY play? I dont think so.
Its time for an uprgrade, shanny saw that, and followed suit. WR is the way to go in FA.
The draft there are many hot DL prospects that will be available to us.

He was old, crap and overpaid. It was a no-brainer, think that answers your question.

I agree, NO SACKS!!!! How can any starter play a season and not have a sack?
I have to say I am sad to see him go, he made some big plays here.
It just maybe over for him. He seemed to really SLLLLLLLOOOOOOOWWWW down as the season went on.
Good luck to Trevor, takes for the rings.

from Denverpost.com "Broncos general manager Ted Sund- quist said it was not the breakdown in the league's attempt to extend its collective bargaining agreement that terminated the team's association with Pryce and Anderson, but the players' unwillingness to accept a pay cut and restructure their contracts."
Fack em. DE ends that make 0 sakcs dont deserve 8.5 mil a season. Wish they would have taken paycuts. Best of luck to em. I'm glad they kept courtney and cut MA instead.

He really didn't contribute much for those rings. He got 'em in like his 1st and 2nd seasons. Didn't really see the field much then so you should say, "Thanks for nothin'."
