Okay, I know this sounds like a Mock thread but indulge me.
My birthday started with a loud knock on my apartment door. My parrot screamed. I woke up, sprang out of bed, looked for some clothes to throw on and tried to straighten them as I reached for the door, unshowered, unshaved and groggy.
At the door was a lovely blonde woman (Finally, I thought, somebody got me what I've always wanted!). Then I noticed the FedEx logo on her shirt and she was holding one of those electronic tracking gizmos (Well, I thought, at least she has a package for me).
"Excuse me," she says sweetly. "Is this building 5?"
"No," I said. "This is building 4. Building 5 is over there."
"Oh, sorry!", she said as she walked away.
I went back to bed.

Btw I try this with the wife but it never works with her either.

The parrot can be a chick magnet when I'm out doing errands. It's vocabulary is a bit limited so, after "hello" and "peek-a-boo", it has no other pick-up lines.
