Adam Schefter reported on Tony Bruno this morning that Sean Payton has fallen in love with Jay Cutler and sees him as the next Brett Favre and the top QB in this draft. If he gets his way, Cutler will be the first QB drafted at #2 to the Aints.
If this scenario unfolds and Hou doesn't trade out of the top pick, it opens up a scenario where Vince Young falls to Oakland at #7.
Hou - Bush
NO - Cutler
Tenn - Leinart (norm Chow connection)
Jets - DeBrickshaw (OL need)
GB - Hawk, Super Mario? (don't need a QB with Rodgers on board)
SF - Super Mario, Hawk, HUff? (don't need a QB with A. Smith)
Oak - Vince Young
Oakland going after a guy with a 6 on the wonderlick? Match made in heaven!

I think NOLA will have to take linehart. Honestly though I'm not sure VY, Linehart ro Cutler are sure fire prospects.

I've read that high first round qbs work out to be 50/50 on busting.

Cutler or Lienart right now is a toss up to me. Go with who you want, and if its thats Cutler go with him or you will regret it.

I see Cutler as either going to be very good or a flop i dont see him as just an average qb.

Na I dont have any confidence that Young will be good. I think he was just a good col. qb. but hey i could be wrong.

I think the Jets would take VY at 4.

Jets will take a QB if one of the three is available.

I really like Cutler but the real sleeper QB looks to be the kid out of Furman, Ingle Martin. He is big at almost 6'3" 225lb's, was clocked 1 mph faster on his ball than even Cutler. Was one of the fastest and most agile QB's based on the 40 time and shuttle drills. I watched the NFL Network coverage during his throwing drills and he was the most accurate to boot. Probably a real sleeper to be had in the 2nd or 3rd round.

He's a real talent; I did not realize he had become such a hot prospect. Both of my parenst graduated from Furman, so I've seen him a couple of times. I think he transferred from Florida. He's got a real chance to be a solid player. i was thinking of him as a 5th or 6th round possiblity for Denver, but the word maybe out now.

He looked awesome in the passing drills and showed a ton of agility. Heck of an athlete. Looked up his bio and while he was at Florida he also punted for the team once kicking a 70 yarder. He will get pushed down a little for playing DI-AA but his showing at the combine had to move him up at least into the 1st day...wouldn't be shocked if he gets taken in the 2nd round. If I needed a QB I wouldn't be afraid of taking him at that point.
