Especially when your in one of those hands, where the guy in front raises, then it gets to you and you re-raise and then the guy behing re- raises and then the guy acts again and goes all in. Pretty good bet hes got a hand.

I would in a tourney, but it would be pretty hard to get away from it in a cash game.

To tell you the truth, I hate Aces and when two players go all in ahead of me when I have aces, I am hesitant to call. Aces are a curse to me.

You rarely hold the nuts preflop with anyone going all-in. I don't mind pushing people all in with pocket Aces but calling an all-in is always scary.
I was at our home game & got pocket aces & got called by A J off & some loose player called with 5 6 suited & he got a 5 6 on the flop but i hit an A on 4th street to win the hand. I would have been pissed, the loose player had the big stack & called because he plays on the net all the time & sees the low hand win the big showdowns a lot. This is why they call it gambling!

I could never fold pocket AAs or KKs preflop, especially pocket aces. One time my wife was online she had pocket kings someone went all in and she was hesitant to call, I told her she was an idiot if she didn't, she did call and got run down by Ak (dude caught an A on the turn). She blasted me for it and I told her she got all her money in as the favorite, she made the correct move and thats why its called poker. Then I told her that if I ever catch her fold pocket AAs or KKs preflop she will never again be able to gamble with my money again. So thats how I feel about that.
Oh, BTW, I guess the next time this show is on is Friday so Ill have to check it out.

I found out that this show is basically a freeroll. They paid all these guys as actors about $240K for the series (12 episodes) So I am really curious to see if Sam Farha would have called that $50K raise if the cameras werent rolling and he was at the big game at the Bellagio. NLHE, isnt really his strength (PLO is) so who knows. Im just some little dude playing for nickles.

Well he was the runner up in the WSOP 2 years ago...so I wouldnt say that NLHE isnt his strength...He is one of my favs...and its not just because he's lebanese either ;D
EDIT: BTW, I love this show...last nights episode kinda pissed me off...Johnny Chan didnt get in on any action...I was bummed out...I also forgot to tell you guys that I saw Scotty Nguyen getting out of a limo at the Las Vegas airport, I dragged my girlfriend around the whole airport looking for him so I could take a picture with him...he was nowhere to be found :-[

Oh he is one of my favorites too and freaking awesome player..dont get me wrong...but he got REALLY lucky in 2003...Although once he got there, I thought Moneymaker got lucky.
Heres a quote form Barry Greenstein..
Eight hands before the end of Day 2 in 2003, I drew out on Sammy and he got up from the table. He thought he was busted, but he had 5,000 more than I had. (80,000 was average at that point.) He said, “I’m leaving. I can’t do anything with 5,000.” I said, “Sammy, sit down and take a shot.” Sammy went all-in in the dark on the next two hands and doubled up each time. Of the last eight hands played at our table that night, Sammy was all-in before the flop on seven of them. He ended the second day with 58,000. Of course, Sammy went on to become famous as he cashed out $1.3 million for his second place finish in the event.

I remember reading something about that when that tourney was going on...
Him and Greenstein have had some battles...one more recently on the High Stakes poker show...Barry had pocket A's and Sammy had Kings...well Sammy drew out a K on the flop and Barry "the robin hood of poker" went home crying...I hate that guy!

I hate the hand A K. I lose with it all the time. I usually lay it down if I don't catch anything on the flop.

Don't forget Poker Superstars and Speed Poker, y'all! (FSN)
:)
I'll be mixing a poker show for GSN soon, but the name escapes me. I'll post it when I remember.

The first episode aired last night. We kind of got screwed on the west coast, as we got pre-empted for a Lakers/Clippers game. So, PS3 was on at 11 and I think Speed Poker aired at midnight! Not good for the debut show. They may have it in repeats through this week, though.
I'm finishing up the mix on Speed Poker show 2 right now, and it'll air this coming Sunday.
It's pretty cool. You get to see a lot of flops... which I find interesting. I love Poker Superstars, but a lot of hands get cut out due to the slower speed of play. The downside of Speed Poker is that you don't get as many big names, though we do have a High Roller's game at the end of the season with a bunch of stars like Sexton, etc.
PS3-7 airs next weekend, and show 8 the following. There's some great stuff in both, particularly show 8. Freddy Deeb needles Hellmuth quite a bit. Good stuff.

Just a reminder about show 8 for PS3 this weekend, y'all. There's some great needling, particularly if you think Hellmuth is a schmuck. (Good play, too.)
I just turned in the final mix. It's been my favorite to do so far. (Though, there is a classic coming in a couple of weeks!)

I do all of the audio mixing and sound design for PS3. I also did the first two Speed Poker shows, but the rest will be done in Europe. I just ended up mixing the first two because they wanted Chris Rose to voice them, and he does a lot of VO at our facility.
The Speed Poker format isn't for everyone. It has its drawbacks. But, you get to see a lot of flops, which isn't always the case with these shows. It's definitely a different take on the whole structure. Anyway, I'm basically done with it so I'd rather people tune in for PS3, anyway. :)
Again, if you haven't caught it yet... this week (show 8) is a fun one to start with, particularly if you're familiar with any of the players.
There's National heads up poker championship on now (8pm est) on CNBC

I always check espn classic for their poker. This weekend i saw poker on travel channel, fox sports and espn 2. My wife hate it especially when she knows i am watching the same episode for the gazillionth time. She especially hates it when it says 2003 world series of poker.
