I'm in the middle of a mock draft. 7 rounds and I was wondering your opinions on targets thorughout the draft that the broncs would want. And if you know any other targets of other teams that would be great also. thanx

Have you started yet?
I think Denver would be very intrested in Kirwanuka, V Davis, and Tamba Hali in the first round.

With their first i had the broncs taking hali, but i got to choose between hali and kiwi.

I'd take Kiwi over Hali... more upside and right now they are very similar. It only makes sense to pick the guy that hasn't already peeked.
I'd think the Broncos may start thinking about Eric Winston, Jonathon Scott, Colledge, Justice, and McNeil. Lepsis' contract situation doesn't leave warm fuzzies right now and Foster was somewhat of a disappointment last year. I'd take a long look at Nance in the 2nd round. While he isn't a complete player by any stretch, it's easy to look at him as a more athletic Eddy Mac type of player. I assume the team would love to have another 6'4/6'5 WR that can make catches all over the field. Nance also has more pure speed than Eddy, but Eddie's game speed was unique so I don't know that there's much difference.
In the 3rd I think the Broncos look at the return game again. I have a feeling that DWill will get less and less opportunites in the return game for two reasons. First, and most obvious is that he's a starting corner. Second, for the last three years we've faced stretches where we were barely able to field one serviceable corner. I don't think there's any way Shanny takes a chance with DWill in the return game. He has one of the best on the planet right now and doesn't touch him (Champ), I don't think there will be a whole lot of difference w/DWill. So, that being said, I think Bloom in the late 3rd may be an option. The pure speed that he has is probably greater than Mathis'... a guy that several of us were hoping for last year! While the late 3rd may be a little early for him, there's nor guarantees he lasts well into the 4th. Last year, several of us would have been willing to give up a late 3rd or a 4th for Chad Owens and Bloom will probably run 3/10ths faster in the 40! I'm VERY interested to see how fast he runs. I've heard rumors recently of a 4.25. That's insane! I've also heard rumors of a 9.5 100m so who knows!
Also keep an eye out for Victor Adeyanju in the 3rd.
In the 4th round I'd think guys like Michael Robinson, Setterstrom and Taurean Henderson. Henderson is probably the least well known of those three. He's right around 5'9 and 210 lbs. He is great in the backfield. Has a lot of experience picking up the blitz and catches the ball as well as any back in the country... all this you'd expect from a RB from Texas Tech. What you wouldn't expect is that he's one of the best scorers in College Football. I can't remember how many TD's he ended up with last year (well into the 20's if memory serves) but he had a bunch and isn't stoned very often. Dude puts the rock in the endzone. He's a guy that could climb into the 3rd with good workouts or slide into the 5th or 6th with poor workouts. Personally, I think he is VERY UNDERRATED. He'll probably run in the 4.55 range which will likely put him in the 4th round.
I'll be back later for my 5th and 6th round watches, but you can expect to hear names like Marcus Vick, Reggie McNeal, Michael Robinson, and Brad Smith. Vick and McNeal are in the sub 4.4 category. Smith and Robinson is the 4.55 range. All of them are undersized by today's standards, but all are similar in size to Jake Plummer. I like Robinson earlier in the draft b/c I think he can transition to WR. Brad Smith probably can as well. Honestly though, it's hard to argue with the success of guys like Rod Smith, Hines Ward, Randle El, Arnaz Battle, and Anquan Boldin. All of which were QB's either in college or entering college. I'm sure there are others that I'm forgetting, but these guys are the most recent and well known success stories. Why not take a chance?
