well it works on a couple of different fronts.

For those that are trying to recruit people to their side (either for or against) this works pretty well.

It's real pleasing to know we are knee deep trying to keep the peace with these two groups.

Eh I don't know. My world views have changed a bit after spending two weeks in Brazil and about the same time in Mexico this year. Life is plugging away in those countries and it's refreshing to not have to hear the crap on CNN or even read stuff like this on messageboards.

The biggest concern from the people I encountered in those countries was where they could find a cold beer rather than wondering when one of their allies was ready to drop a nuke on someone.

On a somewhat related note, I heard an interesting figure on NPR today. According to one of the Clinton administration's ME economic experts, approximately 80% of Palestine's economy is based directly or indirectly on trade with Israel, and a smaller, although substantial part, is supported by aid from the US. Makes for an interesting conundrum for Hamas does it not?
