I do. Up until 3 years ago I had nothing to do but be depressed until late july, basketball, baseball, bowling, whatever couldnt fill the void. My brother kept raving about how fun Nascar was to watch, and I always said its "boring as hell, turning left all the time, zzzzzzz" Well I gave it a shot and watched one race, thought ok, not that bad.. then had a chance to go to Daytona 2 years ago, then it hit me, this is why its so popular. I have been to the Superbowl (w/ the broncos I might ad) been to final four basketball tournys and the such, but I havent felt the adrenaline surge like the one I felt when 50+ cars roar by on the first lap at over 180 MPH at Daytona. Since that day I was hooked, Picked a driver and learned the details what it takes to win races, and let me tell you its tough, but I think its damn fun. And according to the polls I am not alone, any u guys fans too, recently jump on the bandwagon like myself?

No to Nascar. When the Broncos season wraps, I hop on with the Nugz until their season ends. The tough job is the 2-3 months in between the end of their season and training camp.

Detroit Pistons and Detroit Tigers. Waiting for the snow to melt so I can mow the lawn sounds like more fun to me than NASCAR.

You'd think someone could come up with a sport that could be played during the summer and I could watch after basketball season and before football.

Nascar is cool, but the pre-race and controversies and fights are all part of the fun...it's not an edge of your seat event like football, it's more background noise...or something to check in on at times...I have the puter and TV both running, so it's kinda in the background, but I enjoy it.
Golf is another background "sport"

NASCAR sucks.
This is the tough part of the year, but baseball is my 'replacement' sport during the offseason. Looking forward to the WBC.

Baseball is so boring even Sammy Sosa can't play it anymore despite begging and millions in his pockets.

I dabble in Pro basketball.
I look forward to March Madness.
I cherish the majors in Golf while I chase golf balls myself.
Most of all, I look forward to my son's soccer games.

I'm becoming a big fan of ESPN2. My neighbor's got cable, so i just head over there and submerge myself into the wide world of obscure sports.
My new favorite: Ping Pong. Seriously, those guys are incredible.

Anything but Bucketball, hell I'd even watch underwater-basketweaving before that! And if you think a Nascar driver isn't an athlete, try it first!

Micro-Tennis isn't on alot, but those asian guys can really crank it and somehow it hits the table. I hit that hard, it's going off the wall behind the table. I'm not too bad at it and can use english, but these guys are unreal...that ping pong ball, if you could make a pitch with it, would give a pitcher 20 strike outs.

About 8 years ago I took about god only knows how many crappie out of my deep pond...between that and the bass, I still wonder if I killed the thing...man I had cleaning and batter frying down to a science, and they were so tasty I couldn't stop...but they kinda petered out...there are alway more out there tho if the bass don't eat their eggs...
hopefully they recovered my holocaust in 8 years. I'm not going down there today unless I learn ice scating tho.

College basketball, specifically the Tar Heels! Once the final four is over I don't watch a lot of live sports, unless you want to call poker a sport.

Nugs and Buffs basketball, Avs and DU Pioneer hockey. Cardinal baseball.
NCAA hoops are great in March. If I had to watch auto racing, Formula 1.

I'll enjoy the Olympics as long as it lasts. After that, March Madness starts a couple of weeks later. Once they crown a new basketball champion, my local minor league Arena Football team starts and goes through July. I'll keep up with the Crush as much as possible, but KC formed a new Arena Football team and I'll probably get more of the Brigade games on TV instead of the Crush. After that, I just count down the days until NFL preseason and college football...

Of course I'm pumped about hockey year round, so that's a given. Nascar and drag racing come in after that.
The Duels are starting pretty soon here. Go 24! :D

Do you go up to Whitefish and play at the outdoor rink. I lived up in Kalispell for about 5 years and used to go up there.

I'm not a player, just a watcher. ;) When I drive by there to go skiing though, I always look in when they have the doors open and watch.
Now that I reread your post, you must not have been here since they built the new one up there. It's very nice. Some low-level NHLer that I can't even name at the moment helped get the funds to build it.

Before I lived in western North Carolina, I was largely indifferent to NASCAR...when I moved from that state, I left absolutely hating it. This was pre-Panthers mind you, so it was all NASCAR/Hornets all the time. It could've added to my disdain for the NBA as well, but that issue was well decided before I ever came and left there.
So I watch the Flyers till they come up short in the Cup playoffs and then it's on to the Pirates, whose season is usually over with by July at the very latest...just in time for the Broncos pre-season.

Nascar, no. I don't get the attraction. Driving cars fast...fun, watching someone else drive cars fast...not so much. Basketball and golf are all I really follow. I play pool and try to golf.

I get through the offseason with the NBA, NFL Draft, and the Final Four. I am as equally as big of an NFL fan as I am of the NBA. Right now my team, the Boston Celtics stink, but thats okay because we got a youth movement going on. Now, if we were losing and had a team of vets it might be another story. The C's got hope because of Delonte West, Al Jefferson, Kendrick Perkins, and the steal of the draft Ryan Gomes. They're fun to watch even though we have has 15 games in the final two minutes of the game.

No thanks on NASCAR. The races are too long. My father used to make me watch those races with him when I was younger. I would usually fall asleep and wake up just in time to catch the last 25 laps or so.
Sixers and Phillies for me.
