Am I the only person in America that isn't into Texas Hold-em or whatever? Unless poker involves trying to get a group of chicks clothes off I have no interest.

Get poker off ESPN for God's sake.

ESPN also televises the Spelling Bee, so you have more to bitch about than just poker.

No kidding. Is poker any worse than competitive eating? They broadcast that too.

Im actually a huge poker player, and one its not a sport, two the 'all-in' fests they show on TV now are pretty boring even to a player.

I never said it was a sport, just that it's far from the worst thing that ESPN broadcasts. That title belongs to anything involving Stuart Scott.

I have no interest in watching poker, but I little interest in most of ESPN's slanted coverage. I wonder if they'll gradually stop acting like the NFL's bitch once they realize the League is eventually going to squeeze them out.

But the all-in fests must be shown, because it still appeals to the average casual poker fan.

Poker overall is boring to watch, most hands don't go down to the river and there are a good amount of folds to the big blind, it would be a snorefest for people to watch every hand at the final poker table.

ESPN just edits it to the bad beats, good plays, and all-ins, along with the "interesting" conversations between players and bio's of pros in order to get to know them better.

I agree. ESPN does a great job editing it in a way to show the game with more drama than actually happens on a regular basis. I've been in bars with Texas hold 'em poker tournaments going on and it's not nearly as exciting to watch...LOL

I even hate getting knocked out of a tournament and watching my friends play, it really is boring to watch.

Thats why playing at casinos is so much better. Get knocked out and play in a cash game
