Alistair Kirkwood, NFL Europe Vice President of Strategic Planning is on UK TV now talking about a regular season game at the new Wembley at the end of Sep/start of October.
Its going to be 6pm kick off UK time, feature AFC teams, and at the moment its between two games...
one he says is an "outstanding match up with 2 Superbowl Contenders"
The Broncos?

odds on the new wembley being ready by then? 100/1? ;)
i cant see either of the elite teamīs owners being too happy with giving up a home game ...
Combine this with the possibility that the Broncos may end up hosting the extra Thanksgiving day game that is being discussed.
I'm not in favor of the team doing so much "out of the ordinary" stuff during the regular season.

Us Scots are gonna tear that one apart too.

The NFL should make the Giants play one "home" game in London to make up for their 9 home games in 2005.

we won the last game there, so shut up and get in line

What they REALLY need to do is award the Saints an extra home game the next time they are scheduled to play the Giants on the road by switching venues for that one game.

It better not be a home game if they do play in it. That's bulls**t for the "home" team.

I don't like this stuff either. it's just making it harder for us, with the traveling that far to play one frickin game, and us having a short week to play that turkey day game. fvck that.

It wouldn't be too bad if we played at home.

Watch. We go to the UK to play the Patriots, then come home to play KC...in December...

yeah, but still it would be a short week, and it depends who we play before the game. If we play a physicall team like the steelers or somthing then play another hard team on thanksgiving will our team be tired? but I always like our chances at home anyway.

but we'd then have 11 days to prepare for the next game ... that late in the season, it wouldn't necessarily be such a bad thing - as long as we played at home on Thanksgiving day.

why have they been matching us in KC in december recently. I fvckin hate that. If they do it this year, I feel pretty confident of us winning. we have a great team coming back this year, and KC's D is going to be worse because gibbs is their db coach Hilarious! , and Herm is not the answere for them, and their O is aging.

I wouldn't be worried about the next game. It all evens out in the end anyway. Im just worried about us playing a hard against a good team the week before and then facing someone like the colts or somthing.

Agreed. I can't see this happening. It's bad enough making these guys jet across the globe during the preseason. Screw this marketing ploy.

Thought it sucked when the cardinals and 49ers went to Mexico...even tho the cards got all time attendance highs...

East coast teams should play in this for one simple reason, it has the least time zone impact. Denver is 7 hours behind, the east coast only 5.

And you know that was a cowboys home game. Mexicans love the Cowboys until they cross the border, do crimes, then they switch alliances and root for the chokeland faiders. Those that stay out of trouble stay with the Cowboys unless they move to Pueblo, then they are Broncos' fans.

The NFL are idiots if they do this. If they want to continue to dilute the product they are going to pay for it in the end.
