William Bunch, of the Philadelphia Daily News, reports radio talk show host and former NFL football analyst Rush Limbaugh recently agreed with comments by a caller who compared Illinois Sen. Barack Obama to Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb. The caller to Limbaugh's show had said: "Barack Obama is the Donovan McNabb of the Senate. He's overrated, and he's going to get a free pass by the media." The caller added that Obama was "well-spoken," "well-mannered" and is "like a Bill Clinton, but just a different shade, that's all." Limbaugh added, "I kind of like that analogy that he is the Donovan McNabb of the U.S. Senate in the sense that he is being propped up... because they want to see him do well." In 2003, Limbaugh resigned from ESPN's 'Sunday NFL Countdown' show for accusing McNabb of being overrated because "the media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well."

I heard the call and it was nothing more than what was reported. But, of course, would perk the ear of any dumbazz who hears the word 'mcnabb' come from Rush's mouth. McNabb isn't any more overrated than Rush, is he? The two are peas of a pod - they both failed when given a chance to be the best.

Well, all I know is McNabb was pretty good when he had TO to throw to, and not so good when he didn't. Hard to tell at the end of this last season, he was so injured, but I had him and Jake as my QB's in fantasy football, and I was starting Jake every week.

Yeah, all he did was get the Eagles to the NFC Championship game year in and year out when his receivers were Todd Pinkston and Freddie Mitchell. He then got them through the playoffs and to the Super Bowl while Owens was out of the lineup.

How is that "not so good?"

No prob. Slap i'll take it off myself. You know there are places in the world where they eat and enjoy cat meat. What do you thank that hamburger you had for lunch looked like if you traced it back in time.

We live in a society that eats animals and raises them in extremely deplorable conditions all their miserable lives.

That is gross to you because you only eat cows pigs chickens and fish but really there is not much difference.

As for me and my sickness my conscience has kept me from eating animals for many many years now.

New Orleans was at sea level when it was built. Levies do not allow silt to build up, so the city sinks. Happens when you build cities on deltas.

New Orleans was a historically strategic area, but an idiotic place to build an actual city on mud. Every year, god only knows how much midwest black mud goes down the "Muddy Miss" and every year that silt builds up in the river in the delta area.

After all this...I haven't heard anything about improving the levees, just patching them.

I can respect what you are saying, but I think a picture of an animal being gutted or slaughtered would garner the similiar amount of attention.

Fair enough, and I respect that position. I think you're more than persuasive enough as a debater to make those kinds of points without those tactics. People who feel 100% the same way about you on animal rights are probably the ones most likely to find those pictures very upsetting.

That's the point Slap, I want to upset people with the reality of what's happening to animals in order for then to have their dollar Big Macs. I figure if they are gonna eat it they should be reminded graphically the pain and suffering it causes other species that they are the so called stewards of.

But you are right this is not the appropriate place for it, sorry!
