View Full Version : T.O. Contract Idea

With all this Terrell Owens talk, I just had an idea how to possibly not make him so selfish:

I think we all know that this year no team will give him more than the vert minimum.

Most teams would be tempted to give him an incentive laden contract, but what if those incentives were not tied to his performance, but to the team?

I.E. For each win, he makes a certain amount, and if the team makes the playoffs he makes so much, and if we win the SB, we will make more.

I think that with this stucture, possibly he will not be so selfish and will actually want the team to win, and not need to make 10 catches. If he only makes 1 catch, but we win, he will be doing good.

Thoughts?

I think the vet min. is about 1 mil a year, and if we won the SB he could make about 3.5 mil, sounds more than fair to me.

This has been mentioned by about 20 people thus far. Depends on what Rosen**** wants.

what is more dangerous, T.O. or Usama Bin Laden?

I think TO for Denver is a bad idea. I don't care if TO takes the Boy Scout Oath, works for peanuts and scrubs floors if he screws up. The fact is he will be a dividing factor in the locker room. I do not hold any illusions that TO would not be after Jake very soon, and that would begin the whole, entire process of destruction of the team chemistry. There is no way in Hades that TO changes his stripes, and I just see a repeat of a couple of FA busts we all know and remember so maddenly.

Kick TO to the curb, I say! Dodge the temptation! Let the Mullets take him and we can watch the disintegration before our very eyes!

Just say no!

TO isn't going to get the money that he's been crying for, but don't think for a second that he isn't going to get big money. There will be a bidding war for him. There won't be nearly as much money as he's looking for, but he's not about to sign for the vet's minimum. Any team interested in him knows that, and will pay him nicely.
