Just curious what nicknames people would give this game that in one tight concept encapsulates the entire experience for you...

Ref-gate

I would be offended if it mattered. The second largest Superbowl in record. Who cares about honesty! The ratings! The cash! I am trying to be cool about this whole thing but it smells rotten.

I would love to say it was sour grapes but I'm not a Seahawks fans.

Frustration Bowl

Watching a very effective running team give up on the run against Pitt in favor of a panicky, pass-happy game-plan for the third game in a row was enough to make me want to pitch up my guts.

At least Seattle got Alexander 20 carries. Better than our 14 for the game.

Still, you have to wonder what Holmgren was thinking.

INDY: Comes out against Pittsburgh with a pass heavy attack, only running James 13 times in the game.
RESULT: LOSS

DENVER: Comes out running early with decent success, then drops the run in favor of the pass-panic plan.
RESULT: LOSS

So, what does Holmgren do? You got it... comes out throwing. Did anyone else notice in these three games... when teams ran it right at the Steelers, they actually had pretty good results?

Denver and Seattle made a living all year running the ball. Then in their biggest games, just decide to quit.

the game that proves that the better team does not always win.
