Yesterday, instead of watching the Superbowl at home or at a friends house, I went to a local sports bar with some friends to watch the Superbowl. It was a great time. Had the Broncos been playing, I probably would not have wanted to go out and watch it so I could "focus" on the real game!
The sports bar had all sorts of giveaways, a superbowl pool that benefited a local charity and they gave away some great prizes! My friend won a SNOWBOARD! A killer snowboard at that! She had so many offers to sell it. I got a couple of cool "girly" t shirts and a cool lighted shot glass. !Booya! It was fun to have fans from both sides there. Most everyone was in good spirits and not too many beligerent drunks. I did get razzed by a couple of gals that were cheering for the Seahawks. One gal asked me why would I cheer for the stealers when I live in the northwest...I should be obligated to cheer for the Northwest team. I just shook my head and told them football is not always about location...it's about QUALITY FOOTBALL! :D
Anyway, where did you watch the Superbowl? Did you do any fun betting, did you make any wagers on the game with friends or did you make/lose any vegas style bets?
We are working with the local sports bar to put on a March Madness final game party, so give me some ideas about what types of fun things you did for your superbowl? ^5
