How many people were bashing Kelly Herndon as being terrible right before his big INT?

I know I was, and then he picked off Ben and my roomate just laughed at me. He's from Cincy, so he already brags about Deltha already, and the Herndon pick didn't help my case any!

Roethlischoker floated that one right to Herndon. That was by far the worst pass of the day.

I can think of 5 million reasons why Herndon isn't here anymore.

Me! My wife never watches the NFL with me, but likes the SB, so she was "didn't you just rip the piss out of that guy???"...

Oh I'm not saying bashing Herndon was wrong, because he really is not a good CB, it was just a funny turn of events.

Herndon's not good?

He's not bad, but he's not worth a signing bonus of $5 million to be a nickel corner.

Actually after we cut Walls several months ago I realized that we should have signed Herndon instead, and said so. That's ok, though. Thank goodness for these guys:

It seems to me that any of the Denver corners... Bailey, D-will, or Foxy, woulda scored on that pick. Kelly looked a bit slow. Kelly is welcome to stay where he is. I like the guys we have now.

Watch a replay of the reverse pass.

Eh, can't fault a corner for that. Better than getting dicked on a double move by Cedrick Wilson anyway. :flower:

He wanted too much money here.

I would still rather have Champ and Dwilliams.

Or getting burned for a 56 yarder by Ashley Lelie.:spit:

Surtain made some great picks in the playoffs.

Guy carried his team into the playoffs. Man he is the greatest!!
What a pick-up for the Chiefs.

It was just a prime example of Herndon here. A great play, a bonehead play. I remember Seahawk fans blaming him for a loss this year. No matter how you look at it he was not worth the kind of money he got.

I was actually talking him up prior to that pick.

Atlas won something. Thank Surtain for that.

Kelly is not great but he is more serviceable than Walls. He would have helped us more than Walls this year.

Shanny got it wrong when he tendered Walls instead of Kelly; Shanny loved Walls height.

However, after the tendered offer to Walls, the offer sheet that Seattle gave Kelly was way to much for us to match.

So who had more picks this year? Who was 1st Team All Pro with the most votes among corners? YOU WIN NOTHING!

Had the ball been thrown where it should have, Hern would have given up an easy touchdown. Instead, he's in the record book. Good for him.

Exactly, he was out of position on that pass, luckily for him Ben lofted it up short making it an easy grab.

Mostly, I was just thinking to myself that I wished Big Ben had played that way a couple weeks earlier.

Wasn't that #31 that let Hines Ward run alone for the bomb that Randle El threw to him?

Herndon made plenty of plays here. I was sorry to see him go.

Big Ben made some mistakes in that game but the greatest QB to ever play the game was making some at 22 also.
Two years in the game, 27-4 and has won a SB. Nothing but upside for Big Ben and the Steelers for years and years to come.
