I just saw that for the first time all year, Holmgren plans to incorporate the silent count into the game today. The biggest game of the season, and of most his players lives, and Holmgren thinks it's a great idea to start creating wrinkles. Hasselbech has said he doesn't like using it.
Holmgren says they are using it because of all the steelers fans at Ford field.
I'm no genius, but I'd like to think that although Steeler fans easily outnumber the Seahawk fans, it still can't be as loud as it would have been in Pittsburgh, or Indy, or Invesco, or any other playoff teams home turf. It is not like there are 79,000 steeler fans and only a couple thousand seahawks fans. So if Seattle hasn't used it all year when they were going into other teams stadiums, then why use it now on a nuetral field just because your a little out numbered. It's stll a pretty watered down version of steeler nation.
