The deadline to register for Red Sox lottery tickets is Monday at noon ESt. The Red Sox put up all the seats over the Green Monster, all the Right Field Table seats and the non season tickets that are available against the Yankees in a lottery. Millions put in so you have as good a shot as anybody. You can either use it as a motivation to take a summertime trip to Boston and see the Sox play (everybody should go to a Sox Yankees game at least once in their life) or use it as a way to make money to finance a trip to Foxboro to see the Broncos/Pats since these seats could fetch you 3 to 5 times face (or more depending on the game) Why not register ,every scalper on the country is. Register on RedSox .com Good luck

I'm registering, and if I win I'm selling them on eBay.

I took a shot, hell I might actually go to Red Sox/Yankees. I could give a crap about either team but I'm guessing the atmosphere would be electric.

It's no lottery if they aren't auctioning off Manny Ramirez.

You'll be disappointed if you're not into either team.
The stadium and the area it's in are total dumps. If you're of medium or large build, bring a shoehorn and avoid bleacher seats as well as the sun will be beating into your face until it goes down....in the eighth inning.
Other than all that, Fenway is great.

I went to Boston a few years ago for work and tried to go see Fenway Park, but it was closed to tours that day! I go back the next day and they closed it early, I was like jeezx, I really wanted to see it from the inside. I'm not a baseball fan, but that place has a history.
Wish I could gone inside and seen it!
It was the same time they were building the new football stadium. That old one looked like a high school football stadium.

The Monster seats are the coolest seats in baseball (and the most comfortable) The right field dinner seats are a close second. The Bleachers seats are small but for a Yankee game (almost all of these games are at night) it is worth it. Boston real estate is up the most expensive in the country. The owner has bought up much of the land around the park and has spruced it up. Yawkey way is closed off on game day as an outdoor festival. The street (Landsdowne) behind the green Monster is all clubs and bars where some great musical acts cut their teeth. Alas Hogan the Rat is long since closed in Kenmore square and it's musical history with it.

Go down to Newport RI and check out the mansions.
Take a Duck Tour....those things are cool IMO
Go out to Cape Cod and do some whale watching if possible
The Commons, The Bull & Finch (if you were a fan of Cheers, doesn't look like the show on the inside though)
Plenty of good Irish Bars around.....I remember The Purple Shamrock had a lot of hot women in it.
That's the best I can do off the top of my head...keep in mind I haven't been out there since '02, so some of that may have changed some.

There is a Morton's in Boston, but people talk a lot about a place called "Abe & Louis" if you're looking for something local. I have never been there, but people rave about it and it IS NOT cheap.

If you're coming here why go for a steak house? I think something famous like Legal Seafoods is what you want. Again....not cheap, but VERY "Boston".

You don't have to go to the Cape to whale watch. The commuter boat I take to work ( a high speed cat) takes people whale watching to the same place the cape boats go during non commuting hours. Check it out on www.bostonharborcruises.com . Definitely take a duck tour. You take a ride up the charles river just like the sox did in their victory parade. If you want a awesome steak try (like Patswin recommended) Abe and Louis (if you're single lots of single older women aka polecats in the lounge area )Grille 23, capital grille are also good but expensive. Let me know what kind of bar you are looking for and I'll give you a list. But definitely get up to Fenway early and hangout at the Cask across the street. The place will be rocking with the Yanks in town.
