I see him being perfect here because i see him being a younger faster rod smith. before you shoot my head off i mean as far as routes hes going to run by no means am i conparing their leadership.

I think TO can run those short, medium routes and turn them into big games.this will still allow jake to manage the game.

Yeah, except to isnt much younger than rod.

Old Dude

and he isn't a leader and doesn't run the same kinds of routes or resemble him in any way, on or off the filed

Other than that, he's just like Rod.

TO would suceed anywhere with at least a halfway decent QB

I just hope if we do get him he comes in with a Robert Conrad sized Chip on his shoulder & works hard on & off the field to fit in.

And not only that he has the explosive tackle breaking ability that makes him a threat to score at any time. I love rod but he's nothing more than a posession receiver. TO will open up the run game and give Jake alot more options. We could have TO as the #1 Rod as the #2 and have Lelie as a #3 and putz in at TE with a single back. We would be hard as hell to stop!

Bottom line, I think T.O. would be a perfect fit here. And if he was smart, he'd keep his mouth shut for at least the first year. I've never really liked Jake that much, but I think if you add T.O. with Lelie, Jake might be more sucessful.

I agree that he's a lot like Rod, other than the crazier-than-a-****house-rat part.

But I get your point. Count me on the side of being all for getting TO here.

People who look only at talent and potential promise and ignore the vital aspects of a winning attitude, hard work, leadership by example and team chemistry are nearly always dissapointed. TO's a cancer, and a horrible idea for this team.

Will we never learn?

Randy Moss went to OAKLAND last year and didn't cause any problems.

That guy wasn't just a locker room cancer with Minnesota, he was smoking dope and running people over with his SUV. I know people who went to the same high school as Moss back in the day and said the guy was just an outlaw, liked to fight alot. He goes to Oakland, and even though they have a terrible season, it's not at all because of him.

TO's only problem is that he is just too damn GOOD for his own good. He must have been a terrible athlete long ago and then one day everything just clicked and has been cocky ever since.

I think i can live with someone whose main problem is that they are just too good!

I expect that if TO does come to Denver, that he will react just like any other person would who falls out of favor and moves somewhere else. Of course he is going to come in and say all the right things. But the question is, are there enough positive influences around our locker room to keep him thinking positive? I think the answer is yes. I think this team could go 14-2 or 15-1 next year with TO.

I think my Madden "game" would step up a notch as well. Having Lelie on the left and TO on the right with Rod as the slot receiver running surehanded cross patterns makes me wanna punt cats while shouting YEAH!! with extreme loudness. That would sure stick it to all those losers who make a living off using the colts every time.

But in all seriousness, bring him in Mike. You bring in TO and anything you do in the draft or in the offseason is just icing.. it's just icing boys.

Just thought of something...

Wouldn't it be wild to have TO AND Ricky Williams?

Then we'd have the top two all-time rushers in NCAA history in the backfield as well as the best undrafted wide receiver in nfl history as well as one of the best wide receivers in nfl history, period.

Rod will tow the company line I think, and somehow quietly support the decision publicly. But in the locker room, he will raise holy H E double toothpick if anyone(Owens) gets outta line. T.O. will listen to Rod! How could he not? Rod has succeeded in this league for many years, and is also a team leader. Also, Bronco fans are Oh so ready to slam TO if he tries to pull that sideline melodrama he always plays. Imagine..If fans can get Jake to fling the bird..What could they get TO to do?

Yep, your right. Never heard a one of them complain about TO. They practically wanted McNabb erased from memory, whilst TO gallantly pronounce his run for PA governorship.

TO just seems to make awkward situations all the time. I know the guy is a competitor, no doubt about that. But I think he ends up rubbing a lot of people the wrong way on gameday, on his own sideline. I don't care if he rubs people the wrong way on the OTHER sideline on gameday.

If I was a player on this team, I'd be worried about TO's presence. That's just me. I never liked teammates that paced the sidelines shouting all the time, yelling to nobody in particular how bad-ass they were, banging into you as you're trying to walk off a turned ankle, that kind of stuff. The guy is the epitome of inappropriateness on gameday on his own sideline. He's a pain in the ass on his own sideline on gameday. I never liked having guys like that on my team. He takes away focus from his own teammates on gameday. You have to be real careful of voluntarily taking guys like that onto your team.

maybe we could put him in a box on the sideline and open the door when he is needed on the field.
