This is a beauty. When Flutie successfully dropkicked against the Dolphins the nets were not up (since they didn't line up like they were going to kick it).and the ball went into the stands where a fan took it. Since it was the first dropkick since the 40's the Hall of Fame took Fluties Jersey and shoes for display but wanted the ball. They team tried to determine by video who had the ball but were unable. The question was answered when a fax came into the Patriots office from a lawyer representing Mr X. Mr X will surrender the football to the Patriots (since he says he is a good guy and wants the team to have it) for the following demands 1.) $100,000 upon delivery of the football. 2.) A guarantee of 8 season tickets in the lower end zone (preferably sections 142 or 143), (Mr X says he would pay for the tickets) 3.) delivery of a Tom Brady Jersey in September signed by all members of the 2006 team. Mr Kraft and the team has said thanks but no thanks. Or as someone else on the team said "enjoy the football"

I would throw the ball into Boston harbor and push Flutie in after it.

its one of those things that i bet if he gave the ball back without asking for a ransom, im sure kraft would have given him some kind of gift, but now it wont happen.

There are always some available on ebay....thanks to some 3rd string special teamers who never quite make it big.

I would have just asked for a on field pass for life, or the jersey or maybe a chance to follow Bill and the coaching staff for a day. You guys should try and find out who this guy is and make him the Bartman of NE, asking for money is kinda shady. I'm glad you guys got Epstein back, I'm more of a Indian fan but I hate the Yankees's

wow, I like how he said that he wants the team to have it because he's a good guy, then turns around and makes unreal demands for it.

Or let the Pats propose a deal to him and negotiate it for more to see how much the Pats are willing to spend on this ball.

I would have asked for a bunch of money, but no memorabilia or tickets. I would have sliced off Tagliabum's signature and mailed it them to show I wasn't joking, either.

Didn't he want to hang out with Brady for a day and sleep in his bed and use his toothbrush and sit on his toilet...I think there was a little more to the story that they didn't mention to avoid embarrassing Thomas.
