A major research institution has just announced the discovery of the
heaviest element yet known to science. The new element has been named
"Bushcronium." Bushcronium has one neutron, 12 assistant neutrons, 75
deputy neutrons, and 224 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an Atomic
mass of 311. These 311 particles are held together by forces called morons,
which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called
peons. Since Bushcronium has no electrons, it is inert. However, it can be
detected, as it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A
minute amount of Bushcronium causes one reaction to take over 4 days to
complete when it would normally take less than a second.

Bushcronium has a normal half-life of multiples of 4 years; it does not decay, but instead undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, Bushcronium's mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganization will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes. This characteristic of moron-promotion leads some scientists to believe that Bushcronium is formed whenever morons reach a certain quantity in concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as "Critical Morass." When catalyzed with money, Bushcronium activates Foxnewsium, an element which radiates orders of magnitude, more energy, albeit as incoherent noise, since it has 1/2 as many peons but twice as many morons.

To a chem dork that is funny!!!Hilarious!

I seem to remember something similar to this near the end of the Clinton "regime" , oh sorry, "debacle".......empire building/government programs with lots of cronies, that is more the DEMS posturing than the REPUBS posturing. In fact, the dems usually use the same tactics to ensure the accepted "downtrodden" stay exactly that way, "downtrodden". Heavily dependent of the government for everything, does not sound like a repub platform, in most cases anyway..dman

Not anymore dman - times changed, both parties realized they need us to be wards of state to keep their power

Scary isn't it. The last thing I'll do is have to rely on some Political SOB to do my bidding or put food on my table. Guess I'll just have to ensure I'll be independently wealthy within the next five years so I can flip them all the bird...dman

I hear ya dman. I've been looking at things - on how they happen. I view it as it's all steps. BushI wanted nafta, clinton got it through. I think each admin builds on the other to push us in this direction....

That could be some paranoid thinking - but i dunno

then someone steps in and messes up all the dominos. Everything starts over again, one domino, two domino.....1 trillionith domino, WHOOPS, they all fell down , time to start over again. I just wish "ALL" the head shed politicians could understand what I have for years....KISS...Keep It Simple Stupid....and most things have a way of just working themselves out...dman

I agree dman. I'm not saying there is some definite conspiracy to move us to a 'brave new world' - but i think people as a whole are gettng 'fed' up with status quo....

I'm FIRMLY convinced status quo should be us ensuring the government does not strong arm is into believing we all are inherently "crippled" without them. Trust me, I'll be setting myself up so I don't have to rely on anyone but myself...dman

well dman, if it ever came to it - i know how to live off the grid.

I think that we are on a precipice that either we move on and reduce some of the bs going on currently or we move further into. I feel more people are angsty right now with the status quo.

Wifey and I will stay suburbanized for a while longer, presently locating property off the beaten path, Couple thou sq ft , self sufficient for the most part. Couple of good dogs, some weapons and trees, lots of trees........kids will have to hike to find......1 off road, 1 suv. Trips to base/supplies couple times a month. Thats about it. Yes, I will have a dish to get the games.....dman

*Won't become "hermitized" however, am very interested in just enjoying the peace and quiet, and leave me to my woodwork and I'll be happy.
