View Full Version : Broncos: Talks open with Nalen
Bill Williamson, of the Denver Post, reports the Denver Broncos and the agent for OC Tom Nalen had preliminary talks Friday, Jan. 27, and the sides will continue conversations in the coming weeks. Nalen is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent in March, if the two sides don't reach a new deal.
He'll be back in Denver. He's a "lifer" Bronco.

God I hope so.
God I hope so.
Not only that, but he plays C which is the anchor of the OL.

Pretty sure he wants to remain a Bronco for life.
He told the reporters that surrounded him as he cleaned out his locker that the team isn't one or two players away, they "are already there". Why walk away from that?
The only way I'd see him leaving is if he wants to avoid all those fines he's gonna hafta pay the Kangaroo Court for all those quotes...

I think he's right...I'm not taking any credit away from the Steelers..but that last game seemed like a fluke...just like the first one this year against Miami and the one against J'Ville in 96.
The Broncos are a much better team than what they fielded last Sunday.
;D

I agree. The team just picked a bad day to have a bad game. I'm excited about 2006. We're in good shape and will be even better come next fall.

Tom Nalen is a Ring of Famer, should be a Hall of Famer, and I want him back bad.

ROF...we just need to fit him under the cap. The guy is amazing...undersized, old...and dirty handed...Maybe Scorpio will hire him after his NFL career to move the Capital to Antartica....

Beezlebub's Holy Grail is to find a mouse in a mouseproof house...he goes mousing all the time...sniffing under the fridge...
Anyway, I have told you this story but it's worth of another read...my nephew lives at the family farm, and he had quite a confrontation with a skun in the crawlspace. Then he batled a wolverine...I filled it with concrete and whatever, they would just dig around it. He piled up rocks and poison.
Can you imagine crawling around in a crawl space and suddenly being confronted with a skunk face to face?
Then he found a wolverine down there, and they are even meaner than skunks but don't spray...
A pussycat lick Beezer can mouse fine...Rats, he doesn't have his armor...wolverine or skunk...he gets killed.
Matt simply assasinates them with his .45 and buries the evidence....
And those darn beavers...only thing I let the predators hunt because they can flood my bottomland...relative of the skunk and wolverine BTW....
You wouldn't believe all the wildlife mock protects. Hunting a deer would be like walking to the grove drunk...
I can flush pheasents and partrige in a pear tree like tuna...
wabbits rule the world out there.
Golphers don't get the easy treatment. Ya can't drown them, you can only poison them.

The crazy chickens from China amuse me and I harbor them. They get cold and we have grain around the elevator...http://www.copyright-free-pictures.org.uk/animals/birds/pheasent-male.jpg

You want hard prey in the Great White North? I never managed to nail one of these buggers...take your best shot. They have a patrol and spook on a dime.
I can go get a deer in an hour, or a pheasant is living in my grove...
Partrige are almost impossible.
Bring him back, in a few years make him an assistant/advisor to the OL coach, since Dennison will be moving up or on by then and we'll need to start training our OL to someone new, maybe let Nalen take that job himself.

The Partrige or the Pheasant?
Partrige are smater but work like the Borg...
To get a partrage you got to be fown wind and crawl on your tummy after parking half a mile away...They are like nazis behind fencerows...
You park half a mile away, then squirm on your belly like a reptile while keeping your shotgun clean...you MIGHT get a shot.
one time when my son was young I told him those partrige were snipe and we were gong snipe hunting....

What a great thread. Starts off great discussing the future of one of the best Center's in Broncos history only for some aging lunatic to come in and choke the thread with chickens and nonsensical garbage.
Anyway back to Nalen. I hope they get a deal going soon because the current CBA expires after 2006 so in theory it may not affect Nalen's deal since it would be a one year deal. It would mean that Myers would get another year to learn the system instead of being thrust in there without a choice.
