Is Jeremy Bloom going to be in the draft?
I would love to see him on the field for the Broncos. The guy was a playmaker for CU. He is one of those guys who can score anytime he touches the ball.
If we are willing to roll the dice on Maurice Clarett, let's roll them on Bloom.
Maybe use a mid to late round pick on him.

Eddie Mac was tutoring him, so maybe he has let a word or 2 slip to the Broncos.

BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Went to see "Glory Road" and they showed the NBC Olympics commercial featuring Bloom in the previews. I forgot that I wasn't in Boulder and when I saw him did the Bloom yell. I got quite a few strange looks for that one.

I think Bloom would be a very interesting pick, so long as they don't go too high.

I'm thinking he's a 4th rounder at best. Unless he just kills it at the combine, then maybe he's a late day one pick.

He is fast and might move up the charts caz of it.

He'd be nice as a kick returner since Dwill has become more important as a DB.

Yeah a legit KR/Pr would be nice, DW can still be it, but its an extra risk he shouldnt have to take.

How big is Bloom? For some reason I am picturing a smallish WR.

5'9 and will brobably play at about 185. He's lighter now because of skiing but was at or over 180 while at CU. But yes, he's a smallish WR. Think Tim Dwight.

Nope, no Steve Smith but who is? I think he will have a Tim Dwight type career. He averaged 16.5 yards a touch in college.

Hey Ludo, I have been tracking Jermey since his highschool days. His plans are to ski in the Olympics, the day that he is done he is flying back to the States for the Rookie Combine where he has stated on abc he looks to be running a 4.2! I say hell yeah we draft him :militia:

I've seen a ton of him. His speed is no joke. His balance is amazing too. I would be very dissapointed if he had a poor showing at the combine. The only thing he does not have is height.

4.2? I like that. If he is available 4th round or so lets take him. He may be a reach at the 3rd round, but he could be a steal
Bloom would be a great later pick for a legit KR/PR. We need one badly, DWill is too important to the defense to send out on special teams at this point, when we can get a firestarter like Bloom for probably a 4th round pick.
You know what, screw it, if he runs well at the combine I'd take him with a comp 3rd.

I'm 100% behind seeing Bloom in a Bronco uni. Can't coach that kind of speed and athleticism. I guarantee you, after a couple of games at Mile High, everyone in the stands would be on their feet when the ball came to him. Definitely worth a 3rd round comp pick.

He's an olympic world champ, if that's any indication.

As much as you could want.

He's a World Champ, but not Olympic champ....yet:strong:
Like I said above he has everything but height. He has the determination, drive, heart and other intangibles you'd want. And that's on top of world class athletisism.

I still find it amazing that mock can have a personal scouting report, complete with fraudulent injury report, on a player he never actually saw play. With his eye for talent, I can't figure how no NFL team has snatched him up as a head scout.

The repeated "He's got an acl" blasts are quite entertaining.

I thought he had an ACL that's healed. All the heart in the world isn't going to make him 6-3 and 210. He also doesn't have a ton of experience due to his losing eligibility by accepting endorsements. Everyone can have an opinion...razz me all you want...I'm not a CU homer. 5th round and I bet I'm closer than a comp 3rd.

Blooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom! He was fun to watch at CU. You'd hold your breath everytime he got his hands on the ball, knowing he could make something happen no matter what. Sigh, I miss Ben Kelly, too.

Bloom could end up being alot like steve smith. all the speed in the world. good hands, great returner. If he is there, wouldnt hurt to bring him in.

The guy is a sick returner. And pretty bright too. Having had classes with him at CU, if you can get a bargain, draft him. Let him return, but would you dedicate a roster spot to only a returner? Don't know if he could be a receiver in the pros tho. if he could be a receiver in the pros tho.....
if you could get the next Dante Hall, (not saying he is, but just posing the question) what round would you take him? bare in mind you are only getting a returner, and a receiver who only makes the occasional play..............

If it's worth it to have two kickers on the roster than it's worth it to have a return specialist.

Bloom's collegiate numbers from his two season on the field for the Buffs:
Receiving
24 receptions, 458 yards, 19.1 yards per catch, 3 TD's
Punt Returns
44 returns, 625 yards, 14.2 avg., 2 TD's
Kickoff Returns
25 returns, 627 yards, 25.1 avg., 1 TD
This guy was dangerous every time he touched the ball. Wait until he gets to the combine and reminds people how ridiculously fast he is.

Bloom would be a wise choice for a 4th WR and a serious threat to a opposing Special team. He's from Highlands Ranch which may make it easier for him to accept a lower paying contract so he can stay near home which willl help greatly with the cap and open more funds for Free Agents.

I have to admit that the homer side of me would just love to hear the BLOOOOOOOOOM chant go up at Invesco. There was a genuine buzz in the stadium at Folsom every time he lined up to receive a punt or kickoff.
Darrent Williams is a fine return man but he's also our starting corner. His groin injury came on special teams (on one hell of a hustle play might I add) and I'd hate to see his body take any more wear and tear than necessary. Get Bloom to take that role and let Williams concentrate on playing corner. Sounds like a win-win to me. :yep:

And even if he didn't become a solid #3 or #4 WR, you could still put him in the game once in awhile just to fly down the sideline and draw a S out of the middle. ;D

I saw him play at CU quite a bit, and I do NOT think he would get on the field as a WR. Todd Devoe is just as fast, but taller. He would be a return specialist and nothing else. D. Williams has that spot locked up. I would consider it a waste of a pick.
He has great hips as they say, real shifty, breakaway speed, but I don't know about a 4.2. I could see a 4.4.

I would LOVE to hear BLOOOOOOOM shouted at Invesco field. I was so bummed last year when he chose to take the endoresemnts leaving him unelligable. (although I would have definitely taken that sweet deal too).
He is definitely quick, I have never seen anyone change directions that quickly! The defense never had a chance. He's smart and he definitely has heart.... I'd take him any day.

Not before the 5th. He's allready made a star as a skier and he's not going to let that go. Let me remind you he hasn't played in two years. Not only that, I wonder how much he would concentrate on football when he's a skiing legend. He won't go before the 5th, and only to a team that wants a return man. I don't think he will be drafted honestly.

I have mixed feelings about the kid. I guess I feel like he's cocky twit. That said, most good players, especially receivers, are like that. We'll see, I guess.
