For those knowledgable fans, what position do you think we should draft?
I follow college football, so I have eyed down some players who I think we should get.
One being D. Bing out of USC, this guy is all heart. I might be biased because I'm in SoCal but this guy is amazing.
Santonio Holmes WR out of Ohio is the second guy we should take...next Steve Smith?
Or trade up for Reggie Bush

What about
Kiwi DE BC
and
Rod Wright DT Texas or
Brodrick Bunkley DT FSU
Then trade a 3rd or 4th for a player (IE Warren) WR and use other picks in 2-4 on OL.

If Kiwanuka is somehow miraculously there at #22 he's the pick, no question.

If one of the big named rb's fall (Williams, White, or Marony) all the way to 22 do we take one. Personaly i would want any of them but alot of others on this board keep talking about getting R. Williams.
And at 29 i would like to see us get Ko Simpson.

that will not happen. White is linked to the Cardinals....there are many RB needy teams in the teens that could take what's left (Baltimore, Jets, Indy)....

You just never know how it's going to fall with the draft, free agency, etc. But, I see our needs as WR, DE, RB and S. It's not a great WR draft and there are a couple of FA there (Givens!). Otherwise, I think you look for the best available player at a position of need in the draft. We have a lot of picks fortunately so we don't have to push anything. We absolutely HAVE to get an infusion of talent likely to make a difference at DE and WR, though, no matter what.

I think they go DE/DT with the 22nd and Bing from USC with the 29th...

What do you guys think about Hagans, the WR out of Arizona State? From everything I've read the 'experts' think Holmes will go pretty early first round, but they also said that about Aaron Rodgers last year. Living on the east coast I haven't seen ASU play this year. Just wondering what you guys think about taking Hagans if he's still around at 22, because I definitely agree that WR is an area of need for us.

Gotta get an edge rusher, a safety who can hold his own in coverage, and a playmaker somewhere on offense with the 2 1sts and through FA.

I'm probably in the minority, but I think Hagan is a better WR (esp. for Denver's system) than Holmes...

I think so, I think Clayton (TB) is the ideal receiver but Hagan looks a step to slow....

Smart, leader, runs great routes, good size, good hands, not a burner. I'd take him in a NY minute with 1B.

I'm not really as good at these kind of posts like everyone else here. I wanted to put down my thoughts and get your opinion. I think In over analyze
this stuff but, I do try hard to notice what feel I have about the state of the Broncos.
Jake Plummer
I think he did a solid job most of the year unfortunately he played his worst game in the AFC Championship game. He will be under fire more in 06 because fans will expect another year like this year from him anything less boy it could get ugly for Plummer.
I think Shanny needs to be more aggressive on the offensive side of the ball. Plummer needs more options to take some pressure off him. Seems like Shanny is in patch mode not real upgrade mode on offense. The AFC is getting tougher by the year we need more firepower on OL WR
RB's
In Sept if I thought about offseason I would have not even thought about a RB high. Now I think RB should be considered. We need a legit threat who can handle the load.
WR
I think we need a TO talent here to take the next step. We need somebody to strike fear into the elite teams. Some might disagree because in regular season we look fine but, our weaknesses show up in playoffs. We are 1-4 in playoffs since John our 4 losses we were dominated physically every time.
OL
We are aging and need upgrades more depth etc. I actually feel we can really bolster our OL in 06.
DE
Well no shocker here this is our weakest area. Will we actually be able to address this next year we'll see. I think Denver's best option is to keep Pryce
at a reduced rate. While a major trade up this year could solve our problem we have too many needs to actually do it. I think George had a solid idea package 22 and our 3rd rounder for a small trade up to land a player we covet if nothing happens 22 and 29 will do just fine.
DT
We need another DT to pressure QB up the middle. I could even see 2 day 1 DT's due to Warren FA issue. Will we see a Texas or FSU DT in round 1.
FS
Ballhawk we all agree is a huge need but, I'm not sure we will address this in first 2 rounds.
Return Man
Devin Hester anyone would not cry if we got Bloom but, I'd prefer Hester.
Overall
We could have 8 picks in first 4 rounds. If we lucked out we actually could bolster both lines majorly in the draft. I was thinking weapons last week but, would it be better if we just finished our lines so in 07 we focus on skill positions.
