56 yards against the Colts, 50+ against the Bengals and one totally awesome dragging of Brian Urlacher across the goal line during the regular season. Doesn't sound broken down to me

Check your records, the bus can't get out of first gear against the Broncos. This year will be no different as our run D is one of our best units in many years. Parker could be a problem. But so will Bell for the Steelers.

No doubt. I like Patriots fans. It's the media blather that was making me break out the steel folding chair. That organization is a class act.
Colts fans. They can choke on frigging canoli. They are officially the Browns of their division. That field goal was a thing of beauty.

I think this game is gonna be an awesome battle, I expect we see plenty of RB's knocked on their azz on both sides. I don't expect MA or Bettis to get the head of steam needed for any moderate gains, but the speedbacks could break some.

A lot is said about Denver's pasing defense, yet noone ever points out that they had more interceptions as a team than TD passes thrown against them.

Parker is a quality back. Bettis , my guess, will be used closer to the goal line, IF you get that far. I don't see a whole lot of yards for "the Bus" , who I actually like quite a bit, based on our defensive posture with respect to the run. Don't kid yourself, the altitude will get to you if you aren't ready for it...dman

We'll see how it plays out. He was hit hard, in addition, it was reported Big Ben had a "no kidding" HUGE contusion on the back of his right arm. I'm talken very Big here. This may play out as idle chatter at this point, however, it wouldn't surprise me to see it play out as the steeler game plan is to "run the ball" on sunday...dman

The post to Ward was ugly. He also threw an incompletion on a out pattern. Looked like the thumb was bothering him.
Palumalu is gonna have to be very disciplined this week. When he isn't our play action is gonna make him look very bad.

The injury appeared to have something to do with the "Nerve" which runs all the way down to the outside of your hand and the wrist area. Nerves related issues can heal quickly or take a while. We'll see how it plays out..dman

Okay, here's my story:
I was at Caesar's Palace with my 25-year-old nephew (not a football fan), and I see Jerome Bettis. I tell my nephew about it, and he decides he's going to approach him - not my favorite thing, to be honest, I have never approached public figures like that. Anyway, he goes up and puts his hand out to shake Bettis' hand, and Jerome offers a limp-wrist, effeminate handshake (in fairness, I think it was because my dumbass nephew caught him off guard). Then he (my nephew) proceeds to just stand next to Bettis and attempt to start various conversations with him - for a period of about ten minutes. Finally, Bettis makes an irritated gesture and walks away.
Now, everytime I am around my nephew and we see Bettis on TV, I say, "Look Ryan, it's the guy you stalked." And he goes on and on about what a pompous ass Bettis is.
So the moral of the story is, if you stalk Jerome Bettis in a casino, he will probably come across as a pompous ass.

As for the Caesar's Palace thing, Dom. Honestly, that's the first time I've heard anything negative about Bettis off the field. Between all the stuff he does in Detroit (home town) and Pittsburgh (adopted home town) maybe he just wanted to be left alone once in a while. Sorry, about your nephew but nobody is a saint ALL the time.

If the bust can get through the D-line (not a trivial task - there is a reason we have the number 2 run defense against a very tough schedule), have him run at Ian. Make SURE he does not run at Al or DJ or it is going to hurt his rep really bad.
