I'm allready nervous as a cat in front of a Rottie.
There aren't that many keys to the game...Blanket Ward and collapse the pocket and contain Parker. I think we have the size to shut down the bus if we are not tired.
Seems like we got out of the NE game without any injuries, it was a cleanly played game on both sides. (except for Billick cussing).
This one has the chance to become pretty nasty. This isn't a finesse team this week. Pitt is in town for a reason, don't let the 6 seed betray you...Big Ben was hurt in the middle of the season and they were 15-1 last year and all the pieces are still intact.
We need the 12th man and a good effort and I like our chances. I know OrangeNation is heading into New Mile High and it's going to be an event. I would ask my cousin for a club ticket but I'm sure they are all spoken for.
We are on the threshold of the door and just have to walk thru it! Detroit is so close I can smell it.
I don't really have a point. I'm just really anxious and excited allready. My compatriots, we are very very very close to going to the BIG DANCE.
One more hurdle and we are in the BIG DANCE....
This is a game where I think Tater Tot could shine. Parker scares the hell out of me. I think we can contain the Bus, but Parker has 4.3 speed. We need to hit him early and often and take out his mojo. I think we can contain the Roth, but Parker scares me, especially if Lynch is cheating up to the line.
Well, 5 more days to have hypertention...it's just a game....but win or lose, it's been a great season...now we can take to fantastic...then on to the ring.
It's all falling into our hands, we just have to man up against a physical Pitt team that is hungry. This is a much better team than it's seed. There will be plenty of talk to come but I thought I would get the ball rolling. It's cool so many are going to represent.

Lets hope so, get that crappy team outta your head!!
Pitt is going to be a VERY tough game. Im glad we are at home, that will help a lot.
WE gotta get to Big Ben, he will make mistakes if we pressure him. Running game has got to be stopped.
On offense we have keep their D off balance with a healthy dose of screens and draws. They will blitz, and they will get to Plummer, we just have to call the right plays at the right time to get the ball out of Plumers hands.
Im just pumped were even this far!!! :Broncos:

Just want to say now (and I know it might sound gay) that win or lose Sunday, this season has exceeded my expectations by quite a bit.
But with that - I still want more.
The Stella Artois will be flowing on Sunday afternoon.

I'm not a bandwagoner. I started watching the Vikes in '69 so that ain't happening. They are in the other conference anyway. I don't know how it is some crime to root for one team from each conference.
This is the Broncos year. We are very very close.

An addicts appetite is allways insatiable....heh...
It's a fairly healthy addiction however. If the neighbors don't complain when your screaming....I went bonkers when they overturned that INT...

I agree Old Dude, where are the Steelers fans, im confused on to why they arent bombarding us.
Its also a little bit quiet becasue the Steelers scare us a LOT more than the
Pats. Could be it.

What scares me is the all out blitz when denver is on D and the steelers screen to Parker. I think on Offense Denver needs to check down a lot that seemed to be open in INdy even though payton didn't lost his patience and go deep now and then to keep them off balance.

yeah, thats just all timing and recognition by the DL. For some reason that doesnt scare me so much. WE have let a few early screens go, but after a couple the D learns and shuts it down. Im scared of their trck plays. They will pull 1, its just a matter of when and where. We gotta capitalize on it and make them pay for trying to use their trickery.

There are several things I'm nervous about. Especially Porter killing jake. We better leave a TE to help Lepsis or I'm going to go ballistic.
A TE can chip and go in the flat still...you just can't let them run free.

I went off in search of a Steelers board, and the fans are still pretty wound up over the Colts game. Not surprising.
It's hard to get through all the chaff and rah-rah, but a lot of those folks seem to be buying into the notion that the Pats just giftwrapped the win for Denver, that most of the turnovers were flukes, and that Plummer is a huge liability. They are a little worried about the bootleg.
They are very excited about the fact that Denver surrendered over 400 yards on defense.

IMO, we need to keep Roethlisberger in check. We're a naturally good run defense and can do this with our front 7, IMO. But Ben gets outside the pocket to buy time and can rifle it. If we can keep him penned into a pocket, he has less chance of gashing us.
When we're on offense, i think our strength plays to their blitz. We're zone blockers and have a FB (unlike the Colts) to help with pass protect. The guy we must stay away from, if at all possible, is Polamalu. He's a big play in waiting. Stay patient and win the game 17-13 with a late running attack. Oh, and steal a play from the Pats. Brady figured out the blitz by having his TE fake a block, take 3 steps and Brady would just throw it to that area--6-10 yards every time.

yeah they are very corky, at least the 2 i went to. Seems like they didnt really watch the game because through my eyes, i thought we moved the ball pretty well, just shot ourselves in the foot. People seem to forget Jake also threw a pick, we missed a chance to score on the 1.
We dominated the game. But the 2 plays that people take out of it is Lelie PI call (IMO we would have scored anyway) and the Bailey pick (clearly no visual evidence supported a reversal).
I cant wait for the game, i think we match up very good, but still will be tough.

Any chance Meck or Disco can get to Pennsylvania to go 'Tanya Harding' on that right arm of Ben's?

First, we are not a team that keeps in the FB enough. Second, I don't know how you thing that Big Ben is a scrambler. ..he can move, but isn't a scrambler at all. He's a lumberjack!
The way to beat this team is with Lelie because Poly likes to creep the line which should leave Lelie in man coverage. Just don't put him in the fly tho. take the middle of the field.

he has a size advantage on the Steelers CB's for sure, if we can get the boot going (which is tough on a 3-4) LElie should be able to ctach some deep balls.

Re-read the post. I never said Ben's a scrambler. I said he gets outside the pocket avoiding the rush and can make plays out there. He's damn agile for a lumberjack.
The back that stays in has to take one guy and erase him. Bell doesn't exactly inspire confidence as a pass blocker, though he's improved lots. Anderson and Dayne are dependable and Kyle can get it done as well.

the guy who scares me the most is Heath Miller...espec with the way we blitz and like someone said before, the way Pats TE would fake block then let go and get open over the middle. It is going to be a very physical, HEART game...and while i am nervous, im amped as hell and truely believe in my heart the Broncos WILL win
