ESPN Radio said that Porter will be facing a hefty fine and possible suspension.
That would be wrong if he got suspended. If Sean Taylor doesn't get suspended, I don't see how they can suspend Joey Porter.

Funny how the NFL freaks when the truth is spoken about them.

If the league wants to punish Porter hit him in the wallet. Not the AFC Championship game.

He said it's hard enough to beat Indy without the refs helping them. Or something like that.

Why what did he do????
He was a little too honest about his feelings regarding the officiating. I truly hope it is just a fine.
Edit: NYBronc beat me to it.

I doubt he gets suspended. If Taylor can spit on somebody and not get
suspended, I doubt mouthing of about something that was obvious to
everyone who watched the game would.

He said the League was trying to give the game to Peyton Manning. True, but still, not very smart to say around a bunch of reporters. They will fine the crap out of him, but it would be wrong to suspend him.
I don't believe for a second that they will suspend him, but they probably want to sweat him a little bit. The League has always tried to avoid doing things to alter the competitive balance, they won't break precedent here.

His actual quote.....
"I know they wanted Indy to win this game; the whole world loves Peyton Manning. But come on, man, don't take the game away from us like that."

It is true though that interception was good and the Steelers did recover it Porter should be given a bounus by the Steeelers just to cover any damn fine. Plus if he doesn't play that will just be an excuse for the Steelers to use, no don't suspend him when we beat the Steelers I want the to have had all their weapons so they have no excuses

I think The NFL should suspend him. He should never speak the truth if it hurts the image of the league. If they don't suspend him they should make him play with his arms tied behind his back. That would be a just punishment.

I would turn it off after the season if they did take him out of the game...but they won't and good...because he was right.

He will prob be fined. He doesnt deserve a suspension no matter how much it helps us.
We can beat the Steelers no matter what, we dont need any more excuses from the pundits.

If he gets suspended I will lose what little respect I still have for the No Fun League. Still, it was poor judgment, the media is allready raking the NFL over the coals over this absurd overturn. He shouldn't be fined either.
Suspending him would be tantamount to throwing OUR game. Haven't they caused enough damage. The NFL is just lucky Pitt still won the game or they would of really gotten ripped.

If this were the regular season, I'd be fine with a suspension. However, I can't support them suspending him now, even if it would help the Broncos.
But here's why Sean Taylor's spitting and Porter's comments are treated differently. Taylor spit at a guy, isolated incident, really no harm done.
Porter's comments speak to the integrity of the game. Porter's comments are accusing the NFL of fixing games, and basically be professional wrestling. If people believe what they're seeing is fake and not real, it could kill a sport. That's why sports betting is so serious for professional leagues. If people start to throw games or something, it could bring down an entire league.
It's pretty ****ty to spit in a man's face, but Porter accusing the league of fixing a game is way worse.

it's the truth, the NFL did shaft em on that call & they did want Indy to win
i mean just imagine the revenue if Indy went to the SB, almost undefeated, Dungy's tragedy,Golden Boy Manning in his 1st SB
NFL couldn't write a better script

Why what did he do????
Well, he tackled Peyton too much and was to rough on him and Paul was watching along with Archie together in 'their bed'.

You mean like sending a letter to the broncos on the eve of their playoff game against the Colts stating that they will be watched and don't hurt the WR of the Colts. IMO this the second attempt by the NFL to guarantee Manning a shot to the SB.
