Anyone heard anymore on Ben's injury? I cant remember him completing a pass after that hit.

That would make you think there's a problem there.
Ben Roethslithberger is a tough player, I'm sure he'll play and play well, even if its through an injury. Our O needs to step it up and the D needs to keep forcing turnovers if we're going to win. It'll be old school smash mouth football all day next Sunday.
Ben's somewhat a whiner when it comes to little injuries...he has that "look what I'm doing for the team...playing hurt" mentality.
I've got a co-worker who's a Steelers fan and he's said this since the beginning of the season last year.

He is a tough player from the point of view of completing passes after contact, but from an injury perspective I think he is softer than he should be.

They only threw like once or twice after he took that hit, and one of those was damn near picked. If it's a bruised tricep, it's going to make it very hard to throw because you can't extend your arm out.

After the hit - which didn't seem much except it did involve his arm - he did throw a couple of short passes. If I remember, correctly, they were screens or such. Not much on the ball. I don't think he had much for a downfield pass. Pitt was fortuneate to get the two Firsts with short runs by Bettis. Whether he will have a problem Sunday is anyone's guess. But a solid hit might jar something. I think his thumb might bother him a bit.

I think the lack of passing was Cowher game calling with lead. It is commonly referred to as sitting on an egg.

I wondered about that as well. Really bad playcalling in the second half (especially 4th qtr), and it almost cost them the game. He should take a page out of Shanny's playbook. Didn't use the nake the whole game, until the last series when he needed the dagger.

The Steelers rarely pass the ball the 2nd half of any game with a lead.
