What should I do? Just got back to Cali. Sell the tickets to go towards SuperBowl tixs (Hopefully my season ticket # comes up) and bullet proof vest for Detroit orrrrrrr come back to Denver on Saturday and use my tickets, have a good time and piss off the wife that I am finding time not to work but not be at home? She needs to understand AFC Championships but then again she has been pretty cool the other crazy road trips i have made. I guess Southwest is flying out to Denver now so maybe i go. Stay tuned.
BTW: Beer was pretty much gone by game time. Brought my own tg. I brought Sam Adams beer and clam chowda. Should I bring Rolling Rock this time?

Remember everyone, the game is on a Sunday. That's Sunday. We haven't had one of them in a while. Liquor stores in Colorado are not open on Sundays, so plan ahead. Then again, liquor stores are not open at 6:30 am on any day of the week. All I'm saying is, plan ahead.

Our lot was lonely for the first hour or two on Saturday - just a couple of vehicles took advantage of the 8AM opening time. But - We got it rocking by 2 and it was alive until well after the game.

Feel free to stop by and check out our tailgate in lot R. If you are coming from the Auraria or light rail lines it is essentially on your way - north side of the road that goes under I-25 and comes out at the stadium from the walkway.

I went up to $600.00 today on ebay and got shut out for the High Bid of $750.00 for 2 noise bleed seats. Good Luck everybody who is still looking, like myself. Let's just hope they come down by Sat,Sun, or Kickoff.

We were lucky enough to get through to Ticketmaster by phone by calling the TM line in another state and got 6 tickets-nosebleed in the north end but we are so happy we are going. We were at the game on Saturday in similar seats and it was so awesome-the atmosphere and noise were amazing. We usually can only make it to 1 or 2 games a yearrofl and haven't really had much of a chance to tailgate. We met some of the guys from OF1 at a Special Olympics fundraiser and they were great as is OF1 itself. Can anyone give me the best way for us to get involved in the tailgating. Do we park in the C lot? What is the cost for that lot? We are planning on getting down to the stadium between 8 and 9am on Sunday. Sorry for all of the newbie questions but you are all great and hope you can give us the info we need. Thanks!

welcome...congrats on getting tix. of course you are welcome to join us in lot C. that lot opens up at 7am and will probably sell out by the time you get there. goto the broncos website under stadium and parking or tailgating and there is a map of outlying parking lots. there are 2 lots just south of lot c, lots N & P that are cash lots $20 each. best way to get involved is to walk over to space C RV-31 (look for markings on pavement), bring some refreshments (cans only as bottles not allowed) and be prepared to make some NOISE!!!!

7:00 AM WHOOOO HOOO, The red Heads of Lot N will be there. We showed up in stages last week between 10:00 and 11:30 but all plan to be there at 7:00 AM this time. Our lot was quiet also until about 2:30, but then the band started and it began to rock. Come by and say Hi if you park South if the Stadium. We are in the North East Corner of the lot.

FYI lot N sold out quickly at the regular game price of $20.00, so if you do not have a Parking Pass you need to get there early also. LOT O however is still a CASH LOT and did not open as early as the rest and they were charging $50.00 a car. I am a lot N tailgater and I suspect the lot will fill earlier than it did on Saturday.

Lots C and N are cash lots but get there early. BBQ grills are cool, just no open fire pits. The long term weather forecast is 50 for that day, should be rather pleasent. Not sure about lot P, do not know where that lot is located. I think that lot M is also a cash lot. Like I stated before LOT O was charging $50.00 for the last game.

My understanding is that lot C will open at 7:00 am. There is a good chance that if you get there much past 7, there may not be any spots left. These spots sell for 30.00 and are real close to the stadium and the OF1 tailgate.

Hello everyone - new here too. Would love to park in lot C. Anyone know how early to be there for a spot? Will bring beverages, cash, food, whatever is needed. Historic event and looking forward to a good time. Fell in love with Broncos during my first assignment in the Air Force in 1978. Tried to get two tickets for wife and I but ended up on opposite sides of the stadium by the time we got to the front of the line. Only reason I got them then was because 5 in front of me didn't want to pay $388 :). May seem expense but well worth it to me 304 and 342 bummer on opposite sides of stadium but we'll take it. Wife staying home bringing good friend. Advice appreciated everyone. Have permit for Lot N but would love to park and partake in Lot C insanity. Hope to hear from you folks. Larry

I remember the "Drive" when I was here. Was skiing and kept thinking each time I listened to the score "its over" "its over" its over." But it was not over. Play after play until the final touchdown - amazing. Will be a special treat to be at this game in this town. Not too many places have the support the Broncos have. What a special place.

Hey if anything you go partake in the tailgate sit on the bus and watch the game Sassy. I'd go but due to lack of fund from major home construction I can't. I'll be watching and hoping to yell every 5,10, 15 or In-Com-Plete. Or even give that great old Mile High Salute. He we go it's win or stay home. Detriot may be cold this time of year but with a SUperbowl fever in your blood you can't go wrong lets win this one and take home the championship in 2 weeks

The difference between 3.2 and regular beer (assuming it's a common domestic) is like .4% Do whatever convinient. When I get beer the night before, it tends to get drank instead of saved for the tailgate.

Oh, and I think I might be at the tailgate, we are not going to the game but it will be fun to see the madness. (We being me and possibly two friends)

Howdy everybody -

I just signed up a few days back, only because I JUST found the site. I'm a die hard Broncos fan, and even though I don't have Tix, i'd LOVE to come drink beer (and bring beer of course:) ) and get down at the TG party. I didn't know if it was invitation only, so I figured I'd ask.

If it is, then GO BRONCOS and I'll be losin my voice screaming at my t.v.

BUT

if it's open to the fans, then I'll be the guy with two thirty stones of key light and a **** ton of excitement

cheers

and nice to meet you everybody

Our lot was lonely for the first hour or two on Saturday - just a couple of vehicles took advantage of the 8AM opening time. But - We got it rocking by 2 and it was alive until well after the game.

Feel free to stop by and check out our tailgate in lot R. If you are coming from the Auraria or light rail lines it is essentially on your way - north side of the road that goes under I-25 and comes out at the stadium from the walkway.

Just a reminder for anyone from the Mane who wants to stop by Lot R. Still trying to decide our menu for the game and whehter to do a big breakfast or a lunch. Thoughts?

I was even thinking of a big breakfast/brunch type setup and then maybe bursting out the grill after the game for hamburgers, brats, etc.. Since the game will be over by 4:30 or so. But - can't decide..

Let me start by saying that I'm bringing a PLETHORA of Beer!!!!

Now for the dumb question.......

I have no tickets, but I am STOLKED to come down and get rowdy with a bunch of fellow Bronco fans. I've never been to a tailgate at Mile High at Invesco (sad I know, but I've ALWAYS PARTIED HARD WHEREVER I WAS FOR THE GAME), so I was curious. When everybody goes in for the game, is there going to be anybody left out in the Lot? Is anybody going to bring a t.v.?

I hate to sound like such a newbie, but I just wanted to know.

Be gentle

Hobby Lobby has flimsy ones for $3.50. Theyre geared more towards doing crafty things with them. I went to a ranch/feed store and bought 3 heavy duty cowbells, two different sizes. The medium sized one was $8.33 and has a deep, full sound, while the slightly smaller one, $6.67, has a higher pitch. They have a new shipment of extra large bells for $10.83. The store is in Colorado Springs, called Colorado Agri-Feed (719-599-5961). COWBELLS!

Wish things would have bounced a little different during the game but that can happen sadly. Couple plays go a little different and things are different. Security had to drag one rude Pitt fan out thank goodness. He was trying to take on the entire stadium - guess he wanted to thin out the gene pool a bit. Please let me know how the end of the tailgate thing should go. I noticed when i came out all was torn down. I think I committed a foul by not being there for the clean-up. Not my intention to do wrong but I feel I dropped the ball with my part. Let me know what we all should do to do our part at the end of these things.

that happened last game vs pats. Meck started dumping things as a few of us were straggling after the game. Just went over and started helping him dump crap to the trash. I guess for next year, before Meck goes in to the stadium, just ask if there is something to throw away before you leave. He shouldnt have to do everything as he does enough already. Keep in eye out for the schedule dates for 06.

There were WAY too many Steelers' fans at the game ... that should never happen - ever again ... all the scalpers selling on ebay and even season ticketholders selling out their team and fellow fans is treasonous, in my opinion. I thought it was disgraceful to have to watch all of those stupid towels being waved. That was so damn annoying.

For any season ticketholders who gave up their playoff tickets towards the 15,000 available to the general public - do one of three things next time:
1. buy your playoff tickets and use them
2. buy your playoff tickets and sell them to a BRONCOS' fan or
3. give up your season tickets to someone else who'll go to a playoff game

okay ... I'm done venting now :strong:

RMT....I agree!

The one thing that frustrated me was the last thirty seconds on tv they panned to the Buss and Ben turning around, standing up on the bench facing ALL OF THE YELLOW AND BLACK BEHIND THEM in the seats and holding up championship tshirts.......talk about rubbing salt in the wound! :(

Although, at the beginning of the game, when they showed the entire stadium...all you could see were those orange pom poms waving in the air. That was awesome to see! But, didn't last long.

You know...I would have volunteered to take someones seets if they REALLY didn't want to go. All they would have had to do was ask! ;)

I was really shocked so many Steelers fans were at the game. Most of their fans were courteous and cheered for their team with some respect. One dude sadly got up trying to block everyone's view purposefully at the worst times. Everyone asked him to sit down and eventually yelled at him to sit. He kept taunting anyone he could get to pay attention to him. Unfortunately he was right in front of me and I eventually cracked and almost lost control. After 6 or 7 warnings security took him away with force thank goodness. This didn't help my sadness for the game but at least those of us in my sectio cheered like crazy while he was taken/carried out. His wife was there but didn't leave with him - smart. She tried to help him out but he would not listen to anyone. Other Steeler fans tried to help him but he would not listen to anyone. I think he is lucky to be alive. Guess he was trying to thin out the gene pool a bit. No other explanation for coming into our stadium and asking for pain. He actually walked toward other fans in the walkways calling people out to fight. Oh well. He probably thinks he is a hero. He will either learn from this or he will try it again and someone will hurt him.

Someone should be starting a AFC Champ Game Tailgate photos thread soon...but, if not...you can start it. Then just post your photos in that thread in messages. If you look back in the history of this forum and the main, you will fine those threads for the other game tailgates! The Broncos/Pats game pic thread is in general beccause there were A lot of maners there, too. So that might be the right place. Either way, it will get moved if it's in the wrong place...so, you really can't go wrong!

It was great fun seeing everyone at the tailgate, even though the game didn't turn out anything like we all thought it would. One thing I must point out again is the wonderful bond that exists between Bronco fans that is just awesome. My sister's friend showed up to the tailgate before I did and she was worried about not knowing anyone and getting kicked out. But once she got there everyone made her feel so welcome. Thanks again to everyone for making our trip so memorable.

One more thing...there might have been a lot of Steeler fans there but more than once I heard Pittsburgh fans commenting about Bronco fans and the atmosphere at the stadium, saying that they have never seen such loyal fans, even back home. One girl said "I can't believe it! These fans are crazier than us!" Win or lose, that will never change! See y'all next year!

They are blaming Bronco season ticket holders for not reserving their seats for the AFC CG. If the season ticket holders did put in their reservations, then there would not have been 15,000 tickets released to the brokers and scalpers and to a lesser extent the fans.

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), ticketmaster did not sell tickets to anyone that did NOT live in the Rocky Mountain region...so, people like me, that would have been on there to buy tickets to the game from ticketmaster, were not able to.

And, unfortunately, a good percentage of the thousands of tickets that were sold through ebay/stubhub/etc were season ticket holder tickets (at least it appeared that way from the looks of the pictures shown). Although, I would venture to say that a lot of those tickets might have been purchased up by local ticket brokers.

Really not complaining, though. What's done is done...maybe one day they will take a look at the system. The laws of supply and demand sure can be cruel sometimes!

I've got an idea ... next time the Broncos host a playoff game - instead of selling "just in the Rocky Mountain Region," the Broncos should have a "lottery" like they do for SB tickets and offer extra pairs of tickets to season ticketholders who DID reserve their own seats for the game.

Season ticketholders are LESS inclined to sellout and trade a ticket for buck than anyone else. Those who were traitors should be ashamed ...

i agree it is a hassle: i forgot who owed me money for what, or i spent so much time on the bridge trying to sell a couple extra tix, that i missed out on tailgating.

There is no way to keep out opposing fans (and they shouldnt try) I like to make road trips to other cities to see our broncos too.

Great point 12th man...I try and see the Broncos whenever I can at home or on the road. The home crowd should just cheer for their team and that would take care of the problem.

Someone had a great suggestion regarding season ticket holders re-selling their game seats. Ultimately they paid their money so what they do with the tickets is their own business. However if the Broncos had a system set up on their website where those holders could act as direct brokers to other fans, it might discourage the whole e-bay scene a little. You'll never wipe it out entirely because some people just want or need the money but maybe it would help.

I have season tickets and we bought six more for the Patriots game and then 4 more for the Pittsburgh game. We had a number of people who would like to go and occasionaly get to go with us during the season. The Patriots game I got lucky and got tickets on TicketMaster. For the Pittsburgh game I had to buy them off eBay. Everyone who went paid for them at what I paid (unfortunately the Pittsburgh game was a lot more).

So - as a season ticket holder I would LOVE to have some way to get extra tickets. Although - I don't necessarily think doing something like that would be fair. I should have first right to my own seats but giving season ticket holders first rights to unclaimed seats would just shut out people who don't buy season tickets. That hardly seams fair. So - while I would benefit from it I would still tend to be opposed to it in principle.
