Square up, back straight, head up, knees bent, explode through the ball carrier. Textbook tackling technique.

I made a lot of snarky comments about Sauerbrun's history when we signed him, but he's been a complete professional. Another great game tonight in a consistently outstanding season. I publicly apologize to Todd for ever doubting him.

Look at what an impact our special teams made in this game. Unreal.

Funny how those old cliche's prove themselves every year in the playoffs.

Brilliant move by Shanahan bringing him in, as well as the other moves he made shoring up or STs.

I gotta get me one of those cards. If that's a vid-capture, what's your hardware and software package?

Sauerbraun got totally DISRESPECTED by NFL.COM TMQ!!!

After all the hard work in the gym, he put in...

Then comes this from

http://www.superbowl.com/news/story/9170836

Sweet SKINNY Player of the Week: Scoring to take a 7-3 lead, Denver kicked off to New England. Kicker Todd Sauerbrun made the tackle that caused a Patriots' fumble, Broncos' recovery and soon a 10-3 Denver lead.

How dare they call him Skinny. WTF is that BS!!!

Best 7th round pick Denver has made in awhile and giving up Baker along with it made the deal sweeter for DEN, can't believe CAR would give him up unless he was complete cancer for them.

He was a BIG reason that the PAts couldnt score. Starting deep and having to score on a long drive is tough. If it wasnt for that perfect pass by Brady they would have ever gotten out.

todd is da man, we need him in another big role next week!!^5

I gotta say ... people are not making enough of this! This is a 35-year old PUNTER!!

This play should be highlighted over and over and over and over on NFL Network, with Todd Sauerbrun interviewed live on "BroncosCam". They could even joke about "steroids" forced fumble - whatever.

Any way you slice it, this should be a much bigger deal. The national media creams their pants when Trent Green tries to throw a block on a reverse play ... so why not this?

They give Adam Viniateri HUGE publicity ... but all he did was make field goals. Sure, he's NAILS, but I never saw Viniateri make a "football move" like Toddy did Saturday night ....

When I saw Todd cause that fumble, I thought to myself, the plan has come to fruition, this has to be our year!

Actully he didn't even do that. Elam hit a 50 yarder. Adam V. shanked one.

The reason Pats had 400 yards was due to punts inside the 10 allowed them to put a couple long drives together. :)

HAHAHA well..this is "The Todd" we are talking about. hes gotta entertain himself sometime between kickoffs, since we wont be needing him to punt. :)

You have to admit that a 35 year old punter kicking off and laying wood to some young punk and forcing a fumble is priceless. This wasn't some arm strip...he went right for the jewels. Ha!

I didn't know he was that old! He's a keeper! Hopefully he holds up for a few more years. Get him on the Rod Smith regimen, altho that would be the odd couple for sure! Ha!
