If you're from the PatriotPlanet you have a very nice board over there.

thanks for being here now, and for the week. Fun talking trash for sure. Feels even better when its washed down with a win!
I know the Pats will get more credit than they are due on the talk shows and on ESPN for losing the game rather than us winning the game. But hey whatever makes their pick feel better i guess. (especially when 70% of them picked the pats)
Going to be another fun week!!!

I hope all you Pats fans that came over here and talked trash all week don't run off. Time to man up.I was going to start my own thread for congratulations, but since you were calling out "Pats fans" and not "trolls", this one will do. I'm still here. This is a decent message board for the most part. Anyway, I don't go on other team's boards and not own up to it when my team loses (and I don't taunt on other team's boards when my team wins, either). Good win for the Broncos they deserve to move on to the next round.

And don't bring out the excuse wagon. The pass interference call was not the decisive play of the game and New England didn't hand the game to us (as many are suggesting). Denver earned it just as they have done it all year long.

Its a damn shame that sporstcasters arent hired/fired based upon their ability to predict games!
Here is my prediction:
Broncos 30 Pittsburg 21
Broncos 27 Seahawks 13

The Broncos made big plays when they needed them, the Patriots made turnovers when they needed good plays.
I thought the PI call was terrible but the Patriots were in position to overcome it until they threw the big INT. The ball probably did go out of the endzone on the INT return but when you give up a 100 yard return you're not getting screwed if you don't get that call.
The key to the game was Denver got great pressure on Brady all night long. They made it look like he only had 2 layers of protection last night.
Plummer deserves some credit for his play. He made some key throws and the only INT took a great play by the CB. The Broncos offense avoided mistakes and took advantage of their opportunities.
Wasn't impressed at all by the Broncos running game. You'll have to do much better to beat Indy next week.

Indys defense is nothing like the Pats. Even you are selling your Defense short on that.

Well, there hasn't been much manning-up. But I imagine there's a little sickness happening. I'd feel pretty sick also. I guess Davdog was the spokesman. The NE fans were banking on magic all week. But this the NFL, it's not a Harry Potter novel. Brady's ribs will be healed up in a couple months, and maybe he'll be a man next year.

You guys won, and I congratulate you and hope you go all the way. But talk about frustrating games to watch, this one is at the top of any list. This is how you scored your points:
1. 2nd qtr: Pats starting to take control with a 3-0 lead in the final minute of the first half and are moving the ball toward another FG before halftime. Faulk fumbles on a play he never should have. Plummer heaves a 50-yard bomb into blanket coverage and gets a gift PI call at the 1. Offense drives 1 yard for the TD, and on ensuing kickoff you get another 3 points on another fumble. 10-point turnaround.
2. 3rd qtr: Pats storm down the field in the 3rd qtr, inside the 5 ready to score at least a FG. Brady makes a decent throw to the side, Bailey makes a phenomenal leaping INT and returns it 100 yards!! What are the freaking chances of that? Offense has another 1 yard drive for TD. Another 10-point turnaround. Oh, and there's another big call that goes against the Pats as to whether the ball went to the left or right of the pylon after Watson hits Bailey.
3. 4th qtr: Patriots move down the field again at will. Brady misses a wide open Troy Brown for a TD on a short throw. This is followed up by mr clutch Adam Vintieri missing a chip shot FG, in the clutch. 7 points lost.
4. Troy Brown, mr reliable as a punt retuner, never fumbled in his life, muffs a punt witih no pressure on him at all. Broncos offense drives 15 yards for TD. Another 7 points.
Geez Louise, WTF??? Incredible.
But, you guys didn't make the mistakes, you played a clean game that way, and therefore deserved to win this one. Hard to accept though.
Looks like Pitt's going to win. Good luck in the SB!

Ironic isn't it? The Broncos played a lot like the Pats did on their superbowl runs. Getting it done in the red zone, without much of a running game, with an opportunistic Defense and great special teams.

The rest of the pats fans that have owned up on this board, congrats to you on a wicked fine run. Your team is very tough. If not for the turnovers I think we lose. I will admit one thing to you I thought we would run alot better against you. Your run D is pretty damn good. Thanks for the fun threads last week. I'm sure we will meet again and hopefully with the same results.

i AGREE BUT HOW MANY GAMES ARE DECIDED BY MISTAKES ?CMON.IN THE NFL MOST TEAMS ARE JUST ABOUT EQUAL AND THE TEAM THAT DOESNT MAKE MISTAKES WILL MOST LIKELY WIN.HOW DO YOU THINK THE PATS WON THEIR 10 PLAYOFF GAMES.IT WASNT BECAUSE THEY WERE SIMPLY THE BETTER TEAM IT WAS BECAUSE THE OTHER TEAM MADE MISTAKES.

I'm from the Planet...and you were a great poster last week.
As for me being late...I woke up yesterday and I kept dropping my keys. The I went to the store to get the newspaper and it kept slipping out of my hand. While at the coffee shop the girl handed me my coffee and whoops...all over the floor. Darndest thing...couldn't hold onto anything I grabbed.
Props to the Broncos. Thery took the mistakes and turned them into points. Great teams don't make mistakes. Great teams turn mistakes into points. No excuses. Broncos won. Pats lost.

so true.
it was like 10 games of great playoff bounces/turning pts. came back all at once.
the broncos not only turned the ball over on the pats, but converted those t/o into pts.
just as sonsofkraftybob said "Great teams don't make mistakes. Great teams turn mistakes into points."
the better team won and that is that.
the only way this could have worked out better for the broncos is if the AFCCG was to be held at heinz field.
i have no problem w/ the broncos 'owning' the pats.
they have my whole life.
even during this amazing run the pats are on.
i do have a problem w/ pitt winning a SB, so take care of business.

I must say, the planet is a nice site. I never registered, but enjoyed reading many of the posts.
now go on little horsies and finish the job.
the pats will be back next year and this can pick up where it left off.
make sure you all tune into NFL network over the next wks it is officially the best when your team is alive this time of year.
good luck and im jealous.

This is fine. But the point is that Denver deserves credit for some of this. Denver caused NE to do something it hasn't done in the "win streak" -- feel the pressure. It was obvious that NE was pressing and making mistakes that they don't normally make. It's unfair to say that Denver's game plan didn't have at least something to do with that. If you wanna pick out 4 plays in the game, go ahead. You can probably take just about any game in NFL history and do that. The bottom line is Denver played true to their form all season and it was NE that crumbled, not Denver. Maybe NE was overrated coming in (they fumbled 4 times last week also).
But, you guys didn't make the mistakes, you played a clean game that way, and therefore deserved to win this one. Hard to accept though.
Kind of like the way NE normally wins, huh? You haven't exactly dominated your opponents during your win streak have you?! You were the more opportunisitic team and didn't beat yourself. What's so shocking to you is that we beat you at your own game.
