1. A BS call that leads to 10 Bronco points

2. A "God was smiling" INT and 100 yd return for a 14-point turnaround

3. A pathetic fumbled punt by Troy Brown.

40 yr pats fan or 4 yr pats fan? how old are you?

Great i love getting beat down by opposing teams and winning because of these "lucky plays"

Because you know why? Thats exactly what they said about the patriots over and over and over again.

Yep, those patriots are just lucky, well guess what, now they're gonna start saying "those Broncos are just lucky" because no one seems to understand that luck repeat over and over (6 times tonight) is not luck, its good football. Grow up baby.

Sorry for speaking the truth, in response to some smack.

Broncos played pretty much error free ball, and for that deserved the win. But let's not declare a lopsided victory here. You were very very fortunate to win. But we've won some that way as well, so you live and die by the sword.

Honorable Mention: Sauerbran (the Broncos punter) can tackle!!!!

:bronxrox:

Sauerbrun gets props for the tackle, but he also nailed the Patsies deep with his punting and his kick-offs were as consistently deep as they have been all year. The first half was carried by a combination of aggressive defense, field position and (I haven't seen the camera shake like that in a while) crowd noise.

You are totally missing the point. It is not fortune when the game plan is designed to attack and create opportunities in every phase of the game. That use to be NE's style of play, and it bore fruit. Shanny stole some of it and it bore fruit. TOs do not occur due to luck, at best they are by design (CHAMP'S PLAY), and at worst they are the residues of preparation (the attacks that create the opportunities for TOs.

Wow you're a tool. They watched and set that play up because they recognized the pattern. Ferguson blitzes and forces the early throw. God was watching from above while Champ of his own skill and power jumped in front of the pass and took it home. Go cry to your Bruschi idol.

1. The fumbled ball bounced the Pat's way for the last 4 years. This time it didn't.

2. A PUNTER STRIPPED THE BALL! A PUNTER! GO SAUERBRUN!

3. Shanahan > Belichick, except when there's a 3rd string QB.

So how did Denver score 10 points from one BS call? Is Denver just that good that when they score they get 10 instead of the usual 6 or 3?

Damn, they are better than I thought.

.

No kidding, this so called 40yrPatsfan" is the worst loser I've ever seen!

We kick their ass in THE October game that only superfically looked close afteR Champ and Darrent Williams go out and Brady gets two quick TDs on our all rookie dbs.

Then they harp endlessly ALL week about how they were going to run us out of the stadium with all their players back and yet outside of 5 or 6 good passes by Brady and some decent run defense they cant do squat! Brady was clearly rattled much of the night and spent much time communing with the earthworms under Invescos turf thanks to our rush.

The Champ INT was totally set up by either Big Al or DJ Williams breaking in on Brady at light speed forcing him to rush his throw and Brady throws numerous dirt balls and very poor throws all night (just like he did in the first game when we knocked him on his ass all game as Pretty Boy doesnt lke the rough stuff) due to the rush and/or fear of getting nailed again if he held onto the ball too long.

The Pats are a tough team but even with all their guys back we wind up scoring only one points Less than the October game and they score 7 points less!

And Samuels DID interfere with Lelie before lelie put his hand on Samuels shoudler, those kind of plays happen in EVERY game and the media darling Pats with Pretty Boy Tom Terrific have been the beneficiary of more questionable calls than any team in recent history.

Besides, Samuals TOTALLY blocked Lelie on the 4th and 1 throw, ill-advised though that play call was, and if the refs were on the ball there we've got a first and goal from the 1 and get the 7 there, so its even steven in any event.

The Pats got beat IN EVERY PHASE OF THE GAME and now this joker is in here crying like a 4 year old, not a "40yrPats fan"!

Take a hike dude your dream is over.

OK - my take:

1st - the pass interference call. Yeah, you could make a case that it could go either way. After watching football all season long with my NFL ticket and watching more then roughly 100 games, I've seen that call made at least 20 times. Those DB's turn their heads back to look at the ball and then they cut off the route. You can't do that. They cut the route on purpose but only turn the head back to prevent the obvious call. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Both were arm wrestling but that DB definately cut into the route of receiver. And when coach Billy cries that a defending champion should get that call, he disgraced himeself, for it was him and all of his players claiming they were not champs of anything, it was a new year and nobody was a champ yet. GET REAL.

Brady proved to be human. The pass rush got to him and he took some big hits. He missed alot of throws but in the end, it was HIS mistake that ultimately cost his team the game. That 100 yard INT was all on him. I don't think GOD cares one way or the other if Champ makes the interception or not. As Champ said after the game, the PATS receivers were doing alot of crossing and trying to pick them so they did the ole switch coverage and Champ made the pick. Nothing luck about it.

Brady declares they made it easy for the Broncos and gave them the game. Hey, thanks. What made you change your mind this year? Tired of winning? NOT. Turnovers happen. Not our fault if the PATS can't hang onto the damn ball. Bottom line though, you still have to go get the balls on the ground and the Broncos did just that. They were faster to the ball. There were a few of those on the ground where it looked like a PATS player was there to get it but couldn't.

KUDOS to Shanahan: Dude is smart. PATS think they are going to run the ball to work the clock and he goes for the kill with the long pass, you gotta love it. I guess the Mastermind outsmarted the GENIOUS on that one huh?

Even after the game, the talk on ESPN was all about how the PATS would not get 3 rings in a row and this and that. Meanwhile, the Broncos still get overlooked and not talked about. That's ok, maybe it's working out better that way.....................................

Two things that no one is talking about, 1 The oline gave Plummer a passing pocket all night long. Plummer basically had no pressure in his face 90% of the game. 2. Lelie steps up and became a threat that forced the Pats to respect the deep game and not aloow them to double team Smith.

Figures you'd come up with excuses. Your team took it with honor, why can't you? It's a zero sum game and every New England mistake was a result of something Denver did. New England fumbled 4 times last week and recovered them all -- Denver didn't let you off that easy.

1. I think two Pats fumbles had something to do with the Broncos scoring those 10 pts. Cry about the PI penalty and make excuses if it makes you feel better, but the Broncos won by 14 pts. If they didn't win so decisively because they outplayed the other team, the other team must be for sh*t. Also, if you're going to play that game, we could also talk about 6 to 14 pts the Broncos left on the table in the first half with a bad call on 4th and 1 and a poor throw by Jake. Yet they still doubled up the Patriots in points. Despite being outplayed. Yeah, that doesn't smack of senseless homer logic at all...

2. Great, great play by an all-pro player earning his pay check. If you can't handle giving Champ credit, blame Brady. But of course, Brady is invincible. So instead of giving Champ credit or blaming Brady, you blame God. That's a good one.

3. That was pathetic. So were all the Patriots mistakes in this game. The Broncos made sure the Pats would pay for those mistakes. There's only a couple of logical conclusions to draw from this game. You can choose both, but you have to choose one: A) The Broncos convincingly beat the two time defending champs; or B) The two time defending champs were not worthy of playing on the same field as the Broncos.
