King is a douche, calling it the year of the road teams. Last year the home teams went 1-3 in the wildcard round just like this year, and then in the next round the home teams went 4-0. Wow, he's really picked up on something here.::)

Im surprised they think its going to be that close. I thought the Pats were vastly superior to us???
They will be eating crow Sunday, thats for sure.
And here's another moron ... http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5243694
Check this quote ... "The Broncos have a wonderfully balanced offense and a super fast defense. They are an outstanding team. But they are the same team that beat the Patriots in October. The Pats, however, are not the same team. And this Patriots team will continue the long road back to the Super Bowl with a win in Denver."
Same team? Which Broncos' team has he been watching?

Berman overlooked this years game and talked about the game in Denver 2 years ago. rofl
I think there is more to come, at least i hope they can do better than that.
Regardless, they'll put some positive spin on it to support the Patriots.

East coast sports media ogliarchy, what else do you expect them to say? They are surprised football teams exist west of the Mississippi. Also, denver does not have a manning or brady at QB. We have the bastard son of grizzly adams. which is more then ok for colorado.
:Broncos:
Just think what the spread would be if the roles were reversed and we were at New England with their record and they had the Broncos' record. It would be about an 8 point spread.
I hope the Patriots enjoy their LONG ride home Sunday.

We have NO marketable personalities. Another reason its hard to believe that we are even IN the playoffs, much less the number 2 seed.

He's right. I mean it's not like we can get healthier or play better ball the second half too, you know.

Not when we're west of the Mississippi.

The media "experts" look at this as a continuaton of the Superbowl run but they've forgotten the 2002 Pats went 9-7 and missed the playoffs. This team resembles that team more than the Superbowl winners. Two rookies in the offensive line, no consistent running threat, an undersized secondary minus Rodney Harrison and Ty Law that's been toasted all year, linebackers with limited speed. The main thing that Pats have going for them is Tom Brady and his playoff mystique, which has never faced a test on the road like a balanced Denver team playing at Invesco. The Pats have nice receivers and a good defensive line and physical but slow of foot LB's. If Denver plays their game they win.
It's that simple.

Seems like every so-called expert is counting on Jake screwing up to give the Patriots a win. That is basically the sum of their analysis.

The Pats are lucky the other teams in their division had injuries too. If the Pats started out 4-4 last year, then the Bills and Jets would have passed them on their way to the playoffs.

Heard Boomer Esiason slobbering all over the Patriots yesterday while I was driving to work. The chimp on the radio with him was nearly apoplectic about how little respect the Patriots are getting right now.

A lot of people see Denver as a team with a "gimmick" running attack. The Pats are famed for making adjustments after they've had a chance to play someone, and they have a couple major players, especially Seymour, back on D, who missed the first game with injuries. They've also been shutting down the rush for 5 or 6 weeks.
They are also aware that has given up a lot of passing yardage this year, and that Brady scorched them up and down the field in the last 20 minutes or so of the October game. Denver will be playing at least one rookie DB, maybe two, and many people think that a QB like Brady should be able to continue exploiting that. No one talks much about what Plummer can do. Most of the talk is about what he needs to avoid doing. He's considered more of a liability than a real threat.
Then you add in the streaks of wins for the Pats, their poise and success in the playoffs, and so forth, and it's certainly easy to visualize the Pats walking out with a win.
Of course, there are answers to all of this, and we'll find out tonight just how good those answers are.
I'm expecting a close, thrilling game.

If and that is a big IF.. New England can hold Broncos rushing yards under 100 yards I see this game being a close one, even then I see the Broncos winning by a field goal. Otherwise if the Patriots cann't contain the Broncos runners its a onesided contest.

I admit, I had to google apoplectic, which I got was pertaining to apoplexy.
That's ****ing hilarious man.
