It's the basic principle of playoff fandom in action.

There are 32 clubs and 24 of them have been eliminated.

No one pulls for another team at this point because they like them. They pull for them because they hate the other team even more.

I'm sure that right now the Broncos have a whole bunch of people pulling for them in Miami and Buffalo, just as the Patriots probably have a whole bunch of fans in Kansas City and Oakland.
