Did anyone hear Deion Branch last night on NFL Total Access (NFL Network) ??

When asked about how well the Pats have been playing......he said,

"Well, we've still got a couple of......uhhhhh......a tough game ahead of us."

Gee, I wonder if he was about to say, "We've still got a couple of gameS left."

Mofo.

there is no doubt that the pats players feel like they are going to walk into invesco and get the job done.
they are a very confident bunch and should be.
they will not talk about that stuff, in fact that quote up there is prolly the best bullentin board type stuff anyone will be able to get out of a pat and it is not even anything.

I caught that too, but they are so used to going to the SB.
I too am tired of the disrespect card regardless of which side of the card we are talking about.

I am very confident of what this team can do especially in MILE HIGH, with the PATS record there. If any of the PATS are truly overlooking DENVER they are making a huge mistake. A couple of players you didn't have then is ridiculous, they beat nobody down the stretch. KC pummeled them, Denver and INDY beat them ugly. Only good team they beat all year was the Steelers and Tampa. Their wins down the stretch are against teams like the Bills, Jets twice, Saints...............We beat quality teams all year and lost two of three times by less than 5 points.

Overlooking us will get them embarassed !

I really hope that the whole team doesn't feel that they don't have a shot to win it.. I would assume that every week each team playing feels that they are going to walk on to the field and lay down a beating. If they didn't then they would lack confidence and probably wouldn't make it all that far in this league.

The pats posters are idiots, as shown by this guy, but personanlly I didn't see branch's statement as evidence of 'looking past.' He said a couple of tough road games. Pretty much what shanny said going into the wild card den had in 97. Of course he said it to the team, not the press.

11-5. I figued 11-5. If we don't throw the game to Miami...that would be right on. We can't go 14-2 every year and when you are the Champs....every team plays you like it's their superbowl.

I will give the patriot players some credit because they know they have a snowballs chance in hell to beat the broncos in denver.Dont worry about the media or fans because all of them are going to live in the past of the last several years and not focus on this year.Im sure anyone that actually watches football and knows how good denver is especially at home will admit that beating them in denver sat night is going to be more difficult then any superbowl they ever won. Most of the media and pats fans have not even seen maybe 1 denver game all year.Unfortunately for the pats everybody has saw how they have played this year.

Of course it's a double standard, this is a Bronco board you dimwit. BTW, what drove you to predict such a lousy record (11-5) in a poor division? Did you have little faith in your team, or were you guessing they were going to be that much inferior to last yr?

Of course it's a double standard. Just wanted to be sure all those that jumped on Branch were at least realists and recognized themselves for being hypocrits. 11-5 is not really a lousy record and the prediction was pre-season. The "poor division" as you say, has had the best record of any division 3 of the last 4 years. Who would have predicted injuries would hamper so many teams in the division this year. You can't win 14 games every year.

The Pats traditionally have a rough time with the Broncos. Denver has absolutely dominated the series since the AFL/NFL merger - they weren't known as "Elway's Patsies" for nothing - the Broncos were 10-0 against the Pats in the Elway era. After ten straight wins over the Pats, including a playoff win in 1986, the Broncos have gone 3-3 during the post-Elway era.

The Broncos are 16-5 against the Patriots since the merger, and 12-2 in Denver.

For history purposes, this is a replay of the first-ever AFL game. The Denver Broncos and the Boston Patriots hooked up in 1960 to introduce the new league to America. The Broncos were very good in the 1960's, but they did win that league opener, 13-10, vertical-striped socks and all. rofl

I think the Broncos win 31-20.

Ten straight playoff wins is very impressive. There is no denying that fact. I give a lot of credit to that organization for the streak. But the Broncos also have a very impressive record against the Patriots, including the victory this season. The Pats haven't faced the Broncos in the playoffs during that streak - the last time the Broncos and the Patriots met in the playoffs was 1986, winning 22-17.

The Belichick era for the Patriots began in 2000. The Broncos are 3-2 so far against him.

I've heard countless predictions on the radio mostly where they pick NE mainly because it "doesn't feel right to pick against them". It's time for us to put an end to that mentality.
