anyone have rituals for bronco games?

i personally have to

blow a big conch shell at kickoffs and when we score.
wear offense jersey when we play on offense and change out for defense
drink at least 1 16oz coors light every qtr. in my frosty broncos mug
carry a football throughtout the game minus ads so i can grip the $hit out of the ball and avoid pulling a "tedy" when the other team gets a first down or a positive play

ohh and i wont allow the opposing teams fans in my house on gameday.... and raider fans are never allowed

man after reading that i should move back to colorado and paint my house orange and blue

No Broncos memorbilia of any kind, absolutely must watch the end on the game, and that last part is key. This year, when i have watched the end of the Broncos game (and the beginning and middle too but the end is more improtant) they are 13-0. The three losses (Miami when i stopped watching at 27-10, New York when the giants fans I was with made me leave after Bailey's pick, and Kansas City when I had a hockey game and left with the score Denver 27-24) have all come when I do not see the conclusion of the game. So you can bet your ass that I will be watching the entire game, start to finish, on Saturday night, as well as the game in Indy in just over two weeks, and the game in Detroit in a little over three weeks. 16-3, baby!!!

I will not allow new logo clothing in the house on game day. I wore my Elway jersey ('98 season) for Miami, we got beat. I wore a new logo hat for the Giants, we got beat. My daughter wore her new logo cheerleader outfit for the Chiefs, we got beat. No more new logo at my place! I'm not superstitious though ;D

The Broncos are 12-0 when I wear my John Elway watch during the game, and 1-3 when i don't. And I only wear it during the game.

Also, I haven't cut my hair since late July. I'll get it cut as soon as our season is over in February. Then next year I'll get it cut right before training camp and not until the season is over, so long as the Broncos are doing good.

If I'm at home I have to watch the game with my dog Homer.
Every time the Broncos score I start howling like crazy and so does the dog.

I never really drink watching the games at home, because I like to know what's going on, but my girlfriend got me a HipFlask for X-mas which was strange because I don't drink liquour really, just beer. I think she believes that drinking whiskey will calm me down during games and stop me from howling like a wolf at the moon. How wrong she is.

I have grown a Jake beard. We are 4-0 since and it's pretty knarley. it's not stubble, it's a full beard now. I also cuss like a sailor at officials during games to keep them honest thru the TV. I also make obsene jestures at the tv at various times. I don't really have a specific ritual tho.

I have to wear my Price jersey when I go to the games, my brother wears Gold.

I have two Broncos bracelets, orange and blue. (you know, like the Lance Armstrong ones) When on offense, I have the blue closer to my hand than the orange. On defense I put the orange one over the blue one. But of course they're the same size, so the blue one has a bump that goes towards my wrist. The bump has to be at a certain position on my wrist and when looking through the hole, I have to see the Broncos symbol on the blue.

I’ve been to all 8 home games, and when we score, my brother and I have to stay standing for the extra point. Only ONE time this year have we sat early...that’s the extra point that we missed against the Ravens. We did because the fat bastard behind us had gotten angry at us for blocking his view of a fvcking extra point! Damn him, we won’t do it on Saturday, though.

I have really strange routines.....

1. I must watch every play...I refuse to miss even one play

2. I celebrate touchdowns with a single fist pump. Last few years I'd celebrate a score with 5 claps but that has led to bad outcomes so I just fist pump once now. I guess the 5 claps only worked for the late 90's.

3. If we are down by a bunch or we are playing poorly...I won't change the channell during commercials.

4. I NEVER celebrate a touchdown until at least 1 minute afterwards to make sure a late flag isn't thrown.

5. I never go onto the message boards during the game.

6. I never click on "game prediction" threads nor do I ever view threads that look ahead of our next opponents. I'm sure no one has noticed but if you check you'll see this to be true...I never click on any "SuperBowl "threads...and I never viewed threads that talked about "if we make the playoffs"...I felt that was a jinx to look ahead of the current competition.

7. I never wear Broncos jerseys during the game...everytime I do we lose..I have multiple jerseys but I only wear them when we aren't playing.

8. I cannot be bothered...I need to be alone locked in a room with just the game to focus on.

9. I lay in the same spot with the exact same posture every game...and only move during commercials....if we aren't being dominated.

10. I never predict blowouts anymore....last time I did that we lost in Miami.

11. I can't eat during games....understand me...I didn't say I WON"T eat...I said I CAN'T eat...my appetite dissappears during game time no matter how hungry I was before the game started.

12. I never guarantee Bronco victories...go back as far as you want...you'll never see me do that...I'll say I feel good about our chances or that I'm confident we can win...but never a guarantee....last time I did that we lost in Miami...time before that we lost in 96 to Jax...get my drift...

13. I never celebrate sacks or big hits unless it forces a punting situation or turnover...more times than I can count I'd see us get a sack...I'd celebrate...then the opposing offense would convert on 3rd and long....so now I only celebrate drive ending defensive plays...

14. I will occassionally clap 3 times for a field goal made...but only if it is a clutch one...such as one that puts us up at least 2 scores..or a really long one before the half or something...

15. If we get a last minute score to overtake the lead...I refuse to get excited until the defense stops the opposing teams last ditch effort to score...if that happens....only then do I celebrate because now I know the victory is in hand....

16. As mentioned earlier I usually celebrate with a single fist pump...whether it be for a sack or pick or touchdown...etc....I don't celebrate 1st downs...when I do the drive fizzles out..I only celebrate on offense if a touchdown is scored....

There are a few more but they are too minor(embarrassing) to share...

I never go to the game (I live in Florida)...so cheering isn't necessary for me...besides whenever I do that we lose...

I know this stuff seems weird to you...heck this stuff IS weird...but I am the reason the Broncos are so successful....

The first game of the season I wore my Plummer Jersey. The next week against the chargers I wore my bronco hoody and white bronco hat. After that we go 13-3. Also I have to have my satalite remote and dvd recorder remote side by side pointing at my broncos scheadule tacked to my wall.
