Don't forget to check out BroncoBuff's prediction that the Broncos will lose to the Pats at home...

That thread was started before the 1st meeting and we dug it up the other day. Nothing but platitudes for the Broncos. I mean you guys are 13-3 after all and are HEAVY favorites against a vastly inferior team that everyone expects to get crushed by your vaunted rushing attack and lack of INT's on Jake part.

I'm surprised they don't just "call" the game and have Pittsburgh come to town next week.

We all love PatsWin around here, but I don't think people realize how much classier he is than the average New England fan.

A high percentage of sports fans from New England are arrogant, boastful, whiny maggots who sound like Peter Griffin after two dozen Pawtucket Ales. The men are even worse.

just some preliminary calcs i have run through.... but my guess is that, at the very least, all matter in the universe would be fused into a glorious ball of light. God would then be forced to call the match a draw and and start over... Keep in mind these are just preliminary calculations

Unfortunately it would mean the end of the world since nothing would be left should a clash of such titanic proportions occur. Chuck Norris would have to referee.

Hardly heavy favorites, in fact, just the usual 3 pts for home field.

The national media is slobering all over themselves on the Patriots as usual.

Well, news.google.com scans like every hour, every news agency in the world from large to even very small (ive seen the local suburb paper on Google News) and gives you the headlines (plus all relevant).

If you go to google news and type AFC Divisional Playoff Games you will find thousands of articles nationwide (mostly copy and paste jobs from the AP) concerning the Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers as well as a few articles about our upcoming loss.

Topix.net has a great Denver Broncos rss feed (http://www.topix.net/nfl/denver-broncos) that has all non-Denver-media picking the Patriots. I personally think that there are about even amongst the newspapers on which team they are picking (after a quick, perfunctory glance of about 30 different headlines in a google news search for 2005 AFC Divisional Playoff. I am aware it is technically 2006, but Google knew what I meant). I chose the first headline about the Denver New England matchup and clicked on All 188 related. After about four pages or so of search through it, its fairly evenly predicted.

That being said, the MAJOR sporting news stops...CBS Sportsline, CNNSI, ESPN, FoxSports, TNS, PFW, etc....its all Patriots all the time and this is where the misconception comes from because the front runners are heavily favoring one side, but certainly does not mean all are.

I have read about 30 articles from various cities in this country concerning the upcoming matchup and many have the same boring ****, but a few have brought some thought into the match ups and people predicting both sides have very good points.

In the end, it wont come down to anything but talent. There will be no Brady magic because Denver is a superior team. Coaching is a push, QBs favor NE, but overall Denver is better in every aspect of the game.

When coaching is a push, it comes down to talent and heart. I believe both teams have heart so it comes down to talent and this is where Denver is superior. Certain positions NE has advantages in, mostly just QB though. Every where else I would take Denvers equivalent.

Now thats no knock on Jake Plummer, nor do I believe this Jake of last year is going to suddenly rear his ugly head after the season he just had and NO SIGNS of that changing but lets face it, Tom Brady has 3 Superbowl rings in 4 years and working on his 4th in 5 years in the freakin league! Who WOULDNT want Tom Terrific? Jake has done a very fine job this year, but in making plays in the air and with his feet and selling play action better than ANY QB in the league.

That "Perfection" picture that keeps getting posted? That is not a lonely, solitary instance against a single team. Thats 60% of the plays against every team.

Its HARD to defend. Belichik might be able to but nothing he has done in the past has shown that he has had great success against our style or his defensive schemes adjust well to our second half play.

Anyway, I forgot what I was even responding too. Dont do drugs.
