Oh man! I don't care what team we get... WE NEED MLB IN PORTLAND!
This city is hungry for MLB. I'd definitely do what I could to get season tickets... Probably split with a friend, but I'd have tickets one way or another.
I hope this works out.

If you and Portland were smart, you send the Sith and his stepson out on a rail ASAP.
Taco, I'm tellin' you...this guy is pure evil...don't deal with him because he'll only rip out your soul with empty promises and then move on to his next scam and handout.
If Montreal and Miami don't serve as clear cut warnings to Portland on what this guy is all about, then they deserve to get burned......badly.
My advice? Wait for the A's and pass on this goof.

I think Las Vegas would be a good place for the Marlins to relocate.
I'm not a big fan of the Marlins, but I'd love to watch Miggy and D-Train play in person.
(and NOT against the Dodgers)

Portland is one of the top 25 metropolitan areas in the United States. The state of Oregon and southwest Washington will back the team at the gate; they are hungry for a big time sports franchise. However, I wonder if the team can produce enough television/market related revenue to crack the top 20 of total earnings.
Every franchise practically has a beautiful park these days. Since owners such as George Steinbrenner refuse to share their market related TV-radio revenue, the Marlins moving their team out of South Florida is not going to solve their woes over the long term.
RHogan is right. Loria is a dirtbag. You give him a new ballpark and he'll immediately turn into the Bill Bidwell/Donald Sterling of MLB.
