Yeah I hear you. The Pats have Brady and experience and a 1-4 record against Denver in the last 4 meetings with the only win they have with Kanell at QB. Close game I like us by a touchdown. It will be tough for them to match the intensity.

I went on a rant in another thread. They never quote the good stuff...oh well. Patriots dont scare me. As much as the media falls all over themselves about Brady and the Patriots, you would think people would realize this team had a hard time beating teams with good records. 4-6? come on, from a defending world champ? They are coming to denver, for the first game at the new mile high. Bring those punk bitches on.

I don't know what those guys said (I'm too lazy to look) but they are solid supporters of the team. I'm sure it was nothing too bad. You won't find a bigger/more loyal fan than Kaylore.

Screw the Pats. We have every reason in the world to be confident. I'm not sure what our home playoff record is, I know we only have 2 losses and many many wins. The Pats are 1-14 all time in Denver, and the one win was with Danny Kannel leading our team, and we still almost win. Denver has a huge edge in the all time series. These Pats fans forget that they are our bitch. Someone needs to post a clip of Shannon calling the National Guard to remind them who their daddy's are. I'm happy we are going to give the golden boy his first playoff loss.

The rule which started it all....

NFL Rule 3, Section 21, Article 2: Note 2:
When a player is holding the ball to pass it forward, any intentional forward movement of his arm starts a forward pass, even if the player loses possession of the ball as he is attempting to tuck it back toward his body. Also, if the player has tucked the ball into his body and then loses possession, it is a fumble.

I think you gotta throw out all the old stats from 1960 until today.

Denver is not an easy place to play on the road. You guys are notoriously great at home and the altitiude is a real factor.

Plus you've got a great coach and a helluva team this year.

That's why you should be favored and win.

As for the Pats, they are much healthier since we last met. Seymour really changed it all - made McGinest and Colvin better and allowed the secondary more options to get out of that "vanilla" funk they were in.

So, I see Belichick gameplanning to take away the run and making Jake beat us - which may very well happen because you can't take away everything, right?

I'm so damn proud of this group of guys and all that they've brought us in the last few years. They are a force to be dealt with. If you win it will be because you earned it....not because Tony Eason was a paper tiger and Elway never lost to us. :~ohyah!:

The fact is that both teams are good and deserve to be where they are - and you've got home field advantage. Let the chips fall where they may....cuz honestly, if we must bow out early, I'd rather get beat by Denver than Indy or Pittsburgh and their annoying fans. :)

That's it. From a reasonable look at the stats, we will have trouble running, we will have success throwing, we will stop their running game, we'll be OK agains their pass.

Turnovers.

We're -6 on the year, in the lower half of the league. Denver is +20, second in the league. Game, set, match. If we're plus, even, or maybe -1 in turnovers we win. Otherwise we lose.

Take it to the bank.
posted by footstepsfrom#27
Yea that 178 yards and 5.2 a pop you gave up on the ground had nothing to do with it...

That's what you call a "reasonable" look at the stats? Interesting "logic"...especially since you had ZERO turnovers in the Denver game.

Doesn't going all out to stop the run mean players like Rod Smith,
Ashley Lelie, Jeb Putzier, and even guys like Wesley Duke and Todd Devoe are
left in single coverage? Why would it be hard to beat a team with those
guys in single coverage? Jake has been pretty good at getting the ball
to them. A 56 yarder to Lelie is going to losen up the run coverage
pretty quick.

I concur. It's like dissing your little sister or wife. It's done within the family. You come in and talk to my lil sis or wife like that "I breaka U nose!"

We might fight like cats in a barrell at times, but one thing we all want, and that's to win. Come at us and we will rally like the US after Pearl Harbor together. I hate to brag, but this might be the best collection of intelligent (sans me)...loyal and dedicated fans ever assembled by sport, nation, world. Soccer fans? give me a break. They riot after a 1-0 game.

People literally stake a tent here. I do. We don't have to apologize for a damn thing. They have to come HERE for a reason. They are just damn lucky Carson went down or they would be on the road to Indy.

Fans like PatsWin are humble and gratefull, and won't dissapear when the good times peter out. Any time you get a great run like this one, your going to have bandwagoneers that will fall off at the first bump in the road. This bunch is like that Toyota truck that marches on after a meteor strike.

Again, we might bicker amongst ourselves, but it's OUR clubhouse. I'm sure there is occasional bickering in the Bronco lockerroom too, but if the enemy disses a fellow player, they are going to rally around him.

it's time to take a measure of blood from the Champions.

I concur. Got to love the bandwagon jumper who now is calling us out. rofl Anyone who bothered to keep up with my posts yesterday would have realized that i was being objective about the matchup with the Patsies. yes, they scare me and it would have been nice to have a warm up game against the Bengals ( yes we would have beaten them at home, especially without Palmer ) before playing the Colts or Pats. Doesnt mean i dont think the Broncos can win i am just very cautious about this second meeting.

well...i'm not so sure...

Kaylore & Footstep27 both had posts that were twisted to appeal to pats fans....

your post was pretty cut and simple....you said you think we'll lose...

you are entitled to your opinion so don't take me the wrong way...but i started this thread to encourage my fellow bronco faithful to beat their chest and say screw the pats.....our broncos have been dissed long enough...let's show those chumps who's boss...

none of that "pats scare me" jazz.....the broncos scare the pats.....

let's get tough
