He just cost himself several million dollars. Hope the weed was worth it.

That's a shame - Looked like he was one of the best fits for the Broncs need at DT. Probably the only pass rushing DT headed for the first round. Ngata can do it, but he is not as nimble and Broncs have no shot at him. Maybe they can grab Paxson of PSU in the third or so.

Broderick Bunkley of FSU would be a good fit too. His stock is on the rise after the bowl game.

Later, Kyle Williams (LSU) or Johnathan Lewis (VT) would be available.

Right about Bunkley. He has been a NT, but is not the typical fireplug usually playing that position. He is a little smaller and can move. A possibility.

Paxson should be around late. Don't know exactly how far he'll go back. he's 6' 5" and only 285 and used to be a LB. I don't know if he'll be a DE or DT at the next level. Don't know if his frame can carry too much more weight. He is a team player w/ surprising athleticism and a great motor. blocked 5 kicks as a junior for PSU.

Mahelona is a great pass rusher. Dunno if he gets snagged in round 1 or not, but very well could go in the 25-32 range.

I am still amazed that a lot of these draft sites fail to realize that Denver plays a modified one gap system. They always leave Denver out of the race for the one Gap penetrating DT's.

System means a lot when assessing players to draft and it always cracks me up how they miss this teams needs based on the systems.

What a dunce. Move over Michael Irvin...

Wroten, 22, of Bastrop, was booked late Wednesday for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute...
I don't know about Louisiana...but in Texas that's worth about 5-10 years in the gray bar hotel.
Officers stopped Wroten on U.S. 165 around 11:35 p.m. Wednesday just north of Sterlington High School, Police Chief Barry Bonner said. He was clocked at 77 mph in a 65 mph zone, Bonner said.
Always make sure you're speeding 12 miles over the limit when your hauling pot.
When asked if he had anything illegal in the car, Bonner said Wroten admitted having marijuana for personal consumption. Officers found one bag inside the car in plain view and discovered another tucked in his shoe.
And always make sure the weed's in plain view so the cops have justifiable cause to search your car even if you don't want them to.
Wroten also had $4,000 in cash, which he said was a loan from his financial adviser to prepare for NFL training, the chief said. Police were unable to immediately contact the adviser, whose name was not released.
Um...I'm a financial advisor. I don't make "loans" to clients...don't know any other FA's who do. "Financial Advisor"= 1) his supplier, or 2) his customers. Always carry huge amounts of cash on you when you're speeding with a ****load of weed in the car too...LOL
Wroten, a senior, played on the LSU team that defeated the University of Miami in the Dec. 20 Peach Bowl. Wroten was credited with 45 tackles and five sacks this season. Early NFL draft predictions had Wroten being picked in early rounds.
Great! He'll slide to us in round 6!:giggle:
He could not be reached for comment.
No kidding? They don't have voice mail in the inmates cells in hicktown LA jails?
"I believe he was set up because Claude is not a drug dealer," the elder Wroten said in an interview with The Associated Press. "But that's what happens when kids don't listen to their parents."
BAAAHAAA! Wonder how the cops slipped that weed into his shoe without him knowing it? Pretty slick.
Wroten's father said he and his wife had been discussing their son's future with an agent, whom he wouldn't name, but Claude Jr. decided to go his own way. "He was talking to some fellow in New York who opened his eyes so wide," he said. "When he started making his own decisions, this is what happened."
Yikes...the guy's 22 year old and he's not ready to make his own decisions? Sounds like the USMC might have been a better choice than LSU.
LSU Sports Information Director Michael Bonnette said Wroten had completed his athletic eligibility.
I'll bet he did.
