View Full Version : If we had an injury at WR

Who would you like to see come off the deactivated squad, Terrel or Watts? Or would you rather see an extra TE like Duke or N Jackson?

Duke! But Watts can get open as well, so i wouldnt be botehred by either of them.

I dunno. I'm kinda iffy on this question. Watts knows the offense the best, but has drops in big situations. But LOTS of potential.
Duke could be an impact at TE and on special teams.
If Terrel knows the offense he could be a huge advantage. A potential top tier player coming off the bench.
Hey insiders, any word on how these three are looking in practice? Who's ready to get on the field?
Expect the Broncos to activate Duke and Watts or Terrell, if not both, for the Charger game. With four starters not playing (and likely deactivated), that'll open four spots for guys typically inactive.

Watts. I don't think activating Duke helps cover for an injured WR. Where in the hell has Watts been, anyway.

not sure. Must be depressed and not practicing well. Shanny is ALL about practice. watts is a great route runner, i want him in their learning as he goes!!

I accidently voted for Watts when I meant Terrell...Watts couldn't catch a cold if he went skinny dipping in the arctic right now and Terrell is a bigger, faster, more experienced guy with 1st round talent. Obviously he's been an underachieving dissapointment before he got here.
So far at least we've had pretty good luck with those types this year.
The Big E
12-28-2005, 07:47 PM
Terrell can't be all that if he hasn't even been activated all year. Don't get me wrong, because I really want to see him play this week, and hope that next year he starts to realize his high-pick potential. He seems to have all of the measureables.

None of our backups are all that IMO...

I'd hang Shanahan if Watts wasn't active.

I agree. Seems to be a lot of potential, but that and 50 cents will get you a cup of coffee. Unless you're at Starbucks.
Terrell does seem to have the most potential of the bunch. I thought he might have an attitude coming in, but I haven't heard any negatives about his attitude, so there's hope.
Put Watts, Terrell, and Duke into the "FLY" machine.......................and start whatever comes out.
And also put Paymah and Roc into the "FLY" machine.................because ROC is useless by himself

Quite honestly, I thought that that photo was a response to this post by SAGE:
"Put Watts, Terrell, and Duke into the "FLY" machine.......................and start whatever comes out."
Mutant seemed like a possible outcome of such an endeavour.

I think Terrell is going to be activated this week in place of Lelie.
It will be interesting to see how he gets on.

I would go with the Claw, he is a WR & knows the system, plus he deserves a shot at redemption.
Duke is not a WR. Same with Jackson
Terrell is still a Flava Clown in my book & will be until he proves otherwise.

Give me the Claw sure he might drop one here and there but the big play game changing potential is still pretty awesome :yep:

The irony of all these people saying they want a one handed reciever (well one hand, one claw) to be on the field in place of of a guy that is 6'3" 215lbs, runs in the 4.4 range was the 8th pick of the draft ...AND HAS 2 WORKING HANDS!!!
Does Dariuss have pictures of some of you?

Dude... My vote was for anyone with 2 working hands. What the hell is with you people backing a one armed receiver? what next... one legged running backs, one eyed QB's, maybe a coach who has recently undergone a full frontal lobotomy... I need to get more rest.

I will send him some if he doesn't have any naked pic's of me.
Terrell has more drops than the Claw. Look over his production or lack there of with Duh Bears. Do you think Duh Bears miss him at this point or care that he is inactive on Denvers roster?

he has 2 working hands. Never have i called David Terrell the next Rod Smith or even a good wide receiver for that matter. As a matter of fact i couldn't care less what he did during his tenure in Chicage... Both of his hands work!!!
I realize this sounds crazy to the Watts supporters, but if one of our top 4 WR's goes down i would like to replace that person with someone who has all their extremities properly connected... regardless of what the Bears think.

Dude, you're cracking me up. I'd still go with The Claw because who knows how in the hell Terrell is doing. I just hope one emerges from the clusterf**k we have at WR.
Have you considered that the claw might actually be advantageous? Maybe he can snag the ball easier and get kind of a vice grip on it. It might puncture the ball, but it should be easier to carry if it is. I'm not sure what the rules would say if the ball was punctured by the claw, however.
(sorry, I got nuthin')

not in Football, but it might be advantageous in that "how many 5-year old's could you take" free-for-all.

Hilarious! And it can't be considered a weapon if it's a natural part of your body. Perfect for taking out the little buggers within the rules.

But if you sharpened the claw you could puncture holes in their necks and they'd eventually go down after losing enough blood.......okay, I won't get that discussion going here. So sorry.
As you were.
