Hello. As the title suggest, I'm wondering when playoff tickets will become available. I don't have season tickets obviously, but I would love to make it to this game...

Does anyone have an idea?

Individual game tickets for Broncos playoff game[s] at INVESCO Field at Mile High will go sale on a date to be determined by the National Football League. Please check our website for further details once a home game has been confirmed.

Well, a home game has been confirmed :egbgb:

so it looks like we're waiting on the NFL. I just have a feeling that whatever tickets go on sale will be snatched up quickly, and I want to do some of the snatching. So if anyone has some info...Thanks!

Go Broncos!

First playoff game at the new Migh High. Who ISN'T going?

We need boatloads of ticket information.

Instead of wondering who is representing..I want to know who WON'T be at the game.

Haha, yeah. Those were my thoughts, but I don't think the stadium is quite big enough for everyone who will be wanting tickets. And so? I mean to try and get myself a few asap. I really want to get some from the source, and not try to deal with scalpers and the like.. that is guarenteed to burn a much larger hole in my bank account than I need.

15,000 seats will be available! Get em while they're hot!

BRONCOS PLAYOFF TICKETS ON SALE THURSDAY
DENVER — The Denver Broncos announced Tuesday that single-game tickets for the AFC Divisional Playoff Game scheduled for either Jan. 14 or Jan. 15, 2006, will go on sale beginning Thursday, Dec. 29, at 11 a.m. through Ticketmaster and the Broncos’ ticket office.

The Divisional Playoff Game will be the first Broncos playoff game ever at INVESCO Field at Mile High. The exact date will be determined by the National Football League at the conclusion of the NFL regular season. The final standings in the NFL will determine the playoff eligible teams, and the results of the Wild Card Games (January 7-8) will determine the Broncos’ opponent. Denver has secured home field advantage for this game by virtue of the team’s number two AFC seed in the playoff format. The possibility of the AFC Championship Game being hosted in Denver will depend on the outcome of the AFC Divisional Playoff games.

There will be approximately 15,000 seats on sale to the general public. Reserved seat prices will range from $53 to $110 per ticket. Club Seats will range from $240 to $395 per ticket. Colorado Legislation excludes the half-price ticket provision. There will be no tickets sold at half price.

The playoff tickets will be available for purchase at any Ticketmaster outlet (including Foley’s and Christy Sports), Ticketmaster.com, 303-830-TIXS, Ticketmaster’s Charge-By-Phone and the Broncos’ ticket office. There is a limit of six tickets per person and/or household. Historically, Broncos playoff tickets sell out within 20 minutes of the public sale. Ticketmaster will have access to the same inventory as the Broncos’ ticket office. With the growing popularity of Internet sales, larger TM Charge by Phone staff, and multiple outlet locations, it is strongly recommended that consumers use the resources that Ticketmaster offers.

There will be a limited number of ADA seating available for qualified patrons. ADA patrons may call the Broncos’ ADA hotline at (720) 258-3337 beginning Dec. 29 at 11 a.m. All ADA ticket orders will be processed in order of receipt as they are day and time stamped by the ADA hotline. Any call before Dec. 29 at 11 a.m. will not be honored.

“As in the past when Broncos single-game tickets were made available, there is a wide assortment of prices, locations and seat groupings,” said Rick Nichols, the Broncos’ vice president of ticket operations and business development. “There are single tickets at every price, but most of the tickets grouped together will be in pairs on our upper level. Our season ticket account holders had the opportunity to purchase their season ticket locations for potential playoff games earlier this month, and with a strong playoff renewal rate, a limited amount of availability was created.“

Playoff Ticket Tips

·Buyers must have a valid U.S. Government photo ID or a valid foreign passport.

·There will be a limit of six tickets per person and/or household allowed. This will be verified by Ticketmaster by name and credit card usage — Buyers who attempt to circumvent this process will have all ticket orders canceled.

·All sales are final and there are no exchanges, cancellations or refunds. Please note: The AFC Divisional Playoff game could be played on either Saturday, Jan. 14, OR Sunday, Jan. 15; times have yet to be announced.

·There will be a limited number of ADA seating for qualified patrons. ADA patrons may call the Broncos’ ADA hotline at (720) 258-3337 on Dec. 29 at 11 a.m. ADA ticket orders will be processed in order of their receipt beginning Dec. 29 at 11 a.m. All calls will be day and time stamped and returned in order of their time stamp. Any calls before Dec. 29 at 11 a.m. will not be returned or honored.

·There will also be a limited number of Club Seats and Suites designated for single-game sales, which will be available beginning on Dec. 29 at 11 a.m. There still are a limited number of Club Seats and Suites available for the 2006 season by license agreement for multiple year terms. Parties interested in season Club Seats and either single game or season Suites should contact the Broncos directly at (720) 258-3333.

·A $9 convenience fee will apply for all tickets purchased over the phone or Internet in addition to a $3.30 per order handling fee.

·Tickets are available for purchase at all Ticketmaster outlets, including Christy Sports, select Foley’s, Angelo CDs, the Denver Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau (1555 California St.) and Tower Records. Please contact the retailer to confirm hours of operation.

·The Broncos’ ticket office also will sell tickets concurrently and from the same inventory as Ticketmaster phone and online sales on Dec. 29. The same limitations on ticket purchases and delivery will apply; however, the Broncos will waive Ticketmaster convenience fees for those who purchase tickets in person at the ticket office. Ticketmaster outlets will also be available for walk-up sales. However, Ticketmaster fees of $8 per ticket and applicable convenience fees will apply.

·For best results, the Broncos recommend the online option, www.ticketmaster.com, to avoid long lines while gaining access to the same ticket inventory.

·The Broncos’ ticket office is located at INVESCO Field at Mile High between gates 9 and 10 near the sculpture, “The Broncos.”

No ticket-purchase lines will be allowed to form at INVESCO Field at Mile High until 90 minutes before tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29. Those potential ticket buyers assembled in lines will then select a place in a ticket-buying line by a random number drawing. Regardless of where they were situated before the drawing, customers will assemble in order with the lowest drawn number being first in line. The ticket-buying line numbers will be drawn at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29.

Broncos fans desiring additional information on single-game sales are encouraged to visit the ticket area of the Broncos’ Web site: www.denverbroncos.com/ticketoffice.

That's what I thought. I'd guess chances are pretty good of getting a playoff seat if you act early although every scalper in America is going to be snatching them up at the same time. I'd suggest ordering a seat the second they go on sale if you plan on going.

I'm a season ticketholder, so I'm all set. In fact, my dad and I have three extras in the south stands.

Even if scalpers snatch up many of the 15,000 seats, I'm not sure the market will be there for them to make a lot of money. The demand for season ticketholders has already been met, people will spend less after Christmas, and those who can't afford going to a regular season game will be even less inclined to spend for a playoff game.

I could be wrong, but I think the scalpers will be in over their head if they snatch a lot of those seats.

RMT
12-27-2005, 02:55 PM
If the team wanted to put a stop to that, they could require people to pick them up at "will call," but with 15,000 seats unspoken for, "will call" would have to open early and fans would be waiting for a LONG time to get their seats. What I recommend is buying two extras. That would give the scalpers less to work with and ensure that the tickets would go to someone else who wouldn't have to pay an arm and a leg to go.

To me it would make sense for these tickets to be only available via will call. This would eliminate scalpers purchasing them all together or atleast making it darn near impossible to resale. I'm not sure what the tix master policy is in this case but that is the case with the 1/2 price tix.

I was thinking that if there are ticket sales at a physical location with an actual line and not the 'net, Meck could plow OF1 through the line, get people scattered, and then empty O-Maners out of OF1 to the front of the line. Or not.

Crowpointer, they will if there is a second game. When you pay online, your credit card gets charged immediately for the first game. If Indy loses, your credit card gets charged for the second game. You can't just say I only want tickets for one game if there ends up being more than one game. It's just that you don't have to pay for it until it is confirmed that there will be a second game. Even if you pay for both games up front, you get a refund for any games not played, either by having it applied to next year's cost or writing in for a refund check.

I like your system better. We have no choice. Pay both games at the same time. If no second game (this happened last year as well) excess money goes to your account. I'm going to go online tommorow to see if I can get some tickets. It seems like there is a pretty good chance Pats are coming out to Denver. IF I get some tickets and Pats don't come to Denver I will throw out to the Mane at face value. If I don't get tickets and Pats do go I need a referral for a good ticket broker.

Yes, ticketmaster sells field level seats (though there are far more upper level) and all are face value.

Crow - if you are forced to go the broker route, I've always used denverticketco.com and can vouch for them. They are a little pricey, but are far cheaper than any broker selling Pats playoff tickets (decent field level seats can be had for $300 at Mile High, whereas that may just get you in the door for Gillette with most brokers around here).

I was wondering the same thing. I bought a couple half priced tickets through ticketmaster for a regular season game. They had to be picked up by the buyer at will call. You have to show an id to confirm that you were the person that purchased the tickets and go directly in the stadium. It prevents people from scalping tickets. I didn't see anywhere that these would not be mailed out and would have to be picked up at will call but this leads me to believe that might be the case. You might want to check this out before you buy tickets crow. If you purchase them, you might not be able to sell them to anyone else.

I just called the DB Ticket Office and the man I spoke with said that there will be a "select few seats in the 1st level because 'organization' requests for those seats are still coming in" while most of what is available is "upper level." So you may be better off searching for ONE pair in the lower level instead of 6 in a row. Otherwise, the system will take you to the "best available 6 in a row" which will be upper level.

Also, he said that buyers will have the option of "will call" or "mail" when purchasing tickets. I suggested that the Broncos make that clear on their website because of the confusion caused by "having to have a photo ID."

please let me get a ticket, please let me get a ticket, please let me get a ticket......

There are 15,000 available, so I'm sure you'll get what you need (not necessarily WHERE you want to sit, but you'll get seats).

I've already got three extras, just in case you don't get what you you're looking for :)

To add/clarfiy to what was said earlier..... I've heard that the majority of the lower section seats are only available as singles. So if you're one of those people who has friends, you probably won't be able to sit next to each other in the lower sections.

Upper sections supposedly have seats next to each other.

Ticketmaster will nab you about 8 bucks per ticket. However, if you order online, they'll add an additional 2.50-5.00 per ticket as an "online conveince fee". So if you're watching your budget, you may want to stick the phone or the box-offices.

Honestly, not to troll too much, but if ANYONE posts "golly, I wish I could go" again... I'm sending you a punt in the groin.

I will be buying 2 tickets tomorrow, that much is for sure.

There is a chance i won't be able to make the game. I live on the West coast and it's not like i can just drive up to the lot... so.. my question is..

if i buy tickets tomorrow, what is the best option as far as ticket retrieval in case i have to sell these to someone else? Can i simply choose will call and then just call in and change the name when sold? Or should i use ticket fast and then send the person the file?

I'm pretty sure i'll make all the necessary moves to get out to Denver for this game.. but nothings 100.

One thing is for sure... if i cant make the game, tickets will be sold at face value to a member of the mane, and not on Ebay.

Jens1893

"organization requests" - WTF is that? You mean to tell me that "organizations" get first chance at the tickets before they go on sale to the die hard fans?

Of course, what do you expect? If you think that is scandalous, you should have a look at the selling arrangements for World Cup tickets here next summer. Out of roughly 3.4m avalailable tickets only 50% go to the fans directly, with the
rest going to sponsors etc.

From top to bottom - Media/TV companies/German football federation as hosts/Partners, sponsors etc./not participating countries/team allocation/VIPs, boxes etc./open sale

What is the total capacity of Mile High and how many season ticket holders do the Broncos have?

I wouldn´t take risks and let them send the tickets to you. There might be some trouble if you´re trying to change the name afterwards as they might thing you´ve sold them on for a profit etc. I´ve also seen that they want you to show your credit card and the passport at the will call so I guess that might not be the best option if you can´t make it.

I think it'll be more difficult to do so at a playoff game. There will be a lot less "no shows," so people will pretty much be stuck where they're at (unless they are seated next to some friendly folks who don't mind playing musical chairs).

Unfortunately, I'm not going to make it to the game. I have too much going against me right now. My boss informed me yesterday that we might be flying out on that Monday for a company kickoff with a client. He said he's let me know for sure either this Friday, or Monday at the latest (groan). But then, I just called Delta to see if I could use this old plane ticket that I've had for years that I never used, and apparently it's too old and I'm out of luck... Which means I'd have to buy a new ticket... Heh. Not after Christmas. I'd have to forfeit my 10 time pass at Mount Hood Meadows, and there's no way I want to sacrifice snowboarding for an entire season.

Tough decisions had to be made. Oh well. Looks like the tough decision now is whether I'm ordering Subway or Pizza Hut for game day.

That´s up to the networks, but when you look at it closely: The home teams on that weekend are Denver (Mountain), Seattle (Pacific), Chicago (Central) and Indy (Eastern?). That´s one "early" and one "late" team from each conference. The times are 4.30pm ET and 8pm ET on Saturday, 1pm ET and 4.30pm ET on Sunday. Fox and CBS get a game a day each. Doesn´t take a rocket scientist to figure out that Indy and Chicago will get the early slots and the late slots will go to Denver and Seattle if they have a clue.

This wouldn't have happened had season ticketholders anted up to limit the number of tickets available for brokers. One broker on Ebay has auctions for 34 tickets. Amazing how the average Joe was limited to 6.

FYI, I'm still finding pairs available through Ticketmaster but they're all the $395 & $365 club level seats. ::choke::<CHOKE>

I have my season tix so I'm all set, but toyed with picking up extras just in case. Just in case what I'm not sure, but just in case.

What exactly are the 'club level seats'? Seems to me, I'd much rather just be sitting on the 50 yard line, row 5, than any of those... yet they cost so much more.

those are the "indoor" seats. You get free grub, heat/AC, and all the "wine and cheese" amenities Invesco has become INfamous for.

why would anyone want to miss out on all of the elements of being outside in January and be a participant in the game rather than a mere spectator?

It's too far out yet ... this coming Saturday will be close enough to get a forecast. Right now it's showing that January 12 will have a high of 43. Not bad for January.

I can relate. I grew up in Iowa. As long as the temp was a positive number, we were happy from November to March.

Actually - I don't think you get free grub. I suppose I could be wrong - I've never sat in there. But I was under the impression they had all the "wine & cheese" amenities but at an additional cost. So, you pay $395 to sit down plus you pay for drinks, etc... and no food/bev's may be brought in.

They're not the indoor seats... they're outdoor just like the rest of us, they just have access to the frou frou shiite.

I got six seats together on ticketmaster.com today. Hit it within seconds of going live and put a search in for $71 seats in Level 5 - hoping to get seats close to ours for people that are trying to go. We have seats already in 529 and 531. Ticketmaster gave me six seats in 530. I was stoked...

Man, that's cool. Congrats on the luck! I sure hope the Broncos win and host the title game. I'll have a different strategy the second time around.

Just book an early morning Saturday flight with a late Sunday night return flight. That way it won't matter.

what if they play the late sunday game? I would have to have plenty of time for the game to end and get to the airport

The late game would be over around 6:30 MST - at the latest ... Get a flight for 8 PM or later.

I got my tickets on ticketmaster. I just requested a certain level and left the price range open. I lucked out and got two seats together in section 114 row 11!
