Came across this gem while lurking on the Browns board:
I think Kubiak is waiting for Shanny to be fired, which will happen if they don't get past the first round of the playoffs this year. If not, Green Bay would be a good place for him. I think Mooch will end up in Green Bay, Martz in Detroit, Haslet or Butch in Oakland. Billick and Tice may be gone as well. Whoever is smart enough to hire Neuheisel will get a hell of a coach. He may be in Minny next year.
Holy hell! Could one person make two dumber comments in one post? Is it even possible?
I can't think of a dumber post this year by anyone on any board. I am sure there have been some - I just can't think of any.

do they make awards out of lead?
We could be shut out 30-0 this week and Shanahan wouldn't be fired.
And 40-0 in the playoff round. God don't lay NewHousel on the HornHeads...we have suffered enough...I think Tice deserves another year, but that's up to the new owner.

Newsflash for the clueless Browns fan... the coaches who might be looking for new jobs next year are most likely the ones with more losses than wins... ::)

"But Shanahan has never won a playoff game without Elway!"
*Insert new pro Shanahan argument here*

It's funny that the "noway with Elway" crowd transformed into the "noway WITHOUT Elway" crowd within seconds of Elway's retirement.
The concept that Elway had nearly all of his success when Shanahan was running his offense .... and drafting a gamechanger like TD in the 6th round before 95 had very little to do with anything, right?

Sounds like someone is stuck in the past...the reason why most of the Shanny bandwaggoners can accept Jake for the QB he is and Shanny for the decent coach that he is. I know life is hard without John, believe me we all have had to deal with it...but it ain't Shanny's fault we ain't won a playoff game. At least we have been there. I would say back to back superbowl wins ought to have earned enough respect to stick around a while and through a few tough years. Especially when you think you have the QB of the future and he falls through the cracks and have just now discovered the QB of the present. At least we aren't settling for mediocrity like Minny and those other teams that finish 8-8 or 9-7 against crappy conferences and still make the playoffs win against a cheesy team and finish bad the next year so their coach stays.
