The Hornheads just got a huge turnover and I swear Tice did the Hitler salute and yelled Mein Kaumph. It was incredibly amusing...he was just pointing first down our ball, but it was so damn funny...he didn't point, he did it open palm.

Tice is a good coach....a real guy...I'm about sick and tired of the Espin witch hunt for his head. They tried the samething with Cheney last year out of Temple. Just because he told a kid to go in and be physical.

Cheney is a complete baffon. He didn't tell the kid to get physical. he told the kid to go out and "hurt someone". He single handedly destroyed a young kids career by doing that. The kid on St Joe's (name slips my mind) had his career ended by the same guy who publicly stated that he was gonna kill another coach. That's your boy huh? Yeah John Cheney is a class act.:pity:

It was just funny, because I think he was screaming our ball or first down, but it looked just like Heil Hitler...and he was just about at excited as Hitler at a rally to boot...

Doesn't matter....it's not the responsibility of Espin to hammer people with it. They ran the story every hour for 2 weeks.
Back to Tice....he's done nothing wrong to warrant the **** he gets from Espin or anybody else outside of the Viking locker room

GB, it was the hottest story at the time. If a guy has a history of complete moronic episodes, the attack even more. That is ESPN's job. I'm not an ESPN guy, but that is there job.
If that was Cheney's first incident, they probably wouldn't have killed him as much. it's still a huge story. Telling one of your kids to go out and hurt another kid is a very sick thing to do for a guy who is supposed to be a mentor.
Busting into John Callapari's press conference and saying "I'm gonna kill your white ass, I'm gonna focking kill you" was nothing compared to instructing a kid to intentionaly hurt another kid.
I think ESPN should have killed him even more then they did.
As for Tice, he has made his own bed. He's the one who has to ly in it.

I don't have a problem with any of that stuff....because it's real human emotion and he didn't really mean he was going to kill him. It's the attitude I guess....bad example....back to Tice...
what has he done that's so wrong?

Damn you GB. I love bashing John Cheney, I was having fun and now you backed off! FOCKER!
Well, Tice has not really lived up to expectations. The Vikings were one of the glamour favorites this season and while he's been at the helm, they have not gone as far as some thought the Vikings should have. That's the unltimate benchmark for hammering down on a coaches head.
Add to that the off field stuff.
Randy Moss and the Parking attendent
The party boat incident
The scalping of Super Bowl tickets.
It's not being able to control your players and the total unproffesionalism of scalping super bowl tickets. You know damn well that the media thrives on that sort of stuff. It is the media's job.

He's got some thugs out there...but he's not the GM...all the other stuff but the tickets is out of his control. But Espin would have you believe it is....and the tickets...I would scalp them too....that way I don't have to go to the game and I get some cash.

You wouldn't need that cash if you're an NFL head coach. That's the point. He couldn't give them to charity?
Head coaches are supposed to be able to control the players. Wheter they picked them or not. It's part of the job.

Why should he give them to charity....you know you'd scalp them too.,,,maybe not every year...but it's possible...plus...I doubt he's the only guy to do it. It's not the coach's job to control grown men off the field...it's the grown man's job to take care of himself. They're stupid people on the team playing football...you don't rent a boat for a sex party and not consult the owner. That's what they did wrong....but it wasn't having the sex party...that's all good. None of that is Mike Tices fault.......but it is Ziggy's problem.

I'm no Tice apoligist, but he did do it about the scalping, and the love boat will be adjudicated...
If noone saw the performance of the Hornheads today it was beyond comedy...

When it comes to athletics...Temple sucks. Trust me, I go there. If I want to see a competitive Temple team I have to go check out the women's basketball games. If I could do it all over again, I would've gone to a school with a competitive football or basketball program worth getting excited about.
As for Tice...he cracks me up. All these bad things are happening to his team, yet he always responds like stuff like that has been going on his whole life...very passively. Unfortunately he decided to get busted for these things at the wrong time, as ESPN must have had a shortage of material. That's when he gets hung out to dry.

Right on...hey...just to clarify...I in no way endorse Temple Athletics of any kind...

That would be because he has supposedly changed things around. But as far as being a better coach, when you can 'quietly' go about bringing a 11-3 record to Denver, especially with brining in the Browns D-line and sending them your leading rusher from last year. And constantly being under the gun for being fired in your town. Let alone making the playoffs the two previous years. Tice ain't gonna have a job with his team at the end of the year...and shanny is gonna be sittin pat after bringing home his third lambardi.
