O.K. The Chiefs are done. Will you guys please stop digging them up out of the ground and just let them rot. Guess whose back. Patriots! They don't suck after all. What do you think?
1. Patriots are surging. If they play the Colts in Indy land nobody is giving them propers. I'm glad. They could sneak in there and beat the "perfect" season.
2. Patriots come to Mile High. I don't think that game is going to be much fun. Bills can't take a punch in the mouth Patriots can. You don't beat the crap out of a team by accident. Broncos didn't face Corey Dillon. Broncos didn't face Bruschi. Sorry. I have to say AW CRAP if we draw the Pats in the Playoffs.
3. The Broncos are working on playing well against 10 in the box. Playoffs is a different level. Broncos didn't beat the Chiefs. That was their playoff. If they don't push it to the next level the Bengals, who have improved, could be a problem as well. They picked up a page from the Colts.
There is no such thing as being objective. As a Broncos fan I want to see Broncos tear teams apart but this team lacks playmakers. I am pretty sure any wins they get from this point on are going to be ugly wins.
Broncos don't need to rest starters they need some better ones which would include a #2 WR, #3 WR, #2TE, and a DL that stays on point all the time.
Don't get me wrong. I think the Broncos can beat ANYBODY out there but they are a lesser team built on parity, courage, spare parts and a serious will to win.
(I am putting on my flack vest. Fire at will.)

Yea, i wrote these bitches off but after what they did to Tampa im not so sure anymore that you can write them off. Maybe the Pats can knock off Indy again which would make a Broncs/Pats game more balanced. :)

Ya, the Pats may not be 'back' but they are definitely a team to be contended with.
Think of this.
The Pats should be the lowest seeded div champ. Figuring that they win their playoff game against Pitt or Jax or SD, or whoever at home in the first weekend that put them on a collision course with a match with you know who in the dome.
Payton's old nemesis could put another end to a good season.
HA!

The bottom line is any team can go on a roll once playoff time comes. The Broncs are in the playoffs, let's see if they can go on a roll. Two more workmanlike victories, then let the fun begin.

The Pats are looking good, but I wouldn't fear them at Invesco. They have recovered from a start when they looked very ordinary, they look better than they did, but they don't look near the SB winning team from the last 2 years.

I for one don't feel great about the way the Pats are playing now. Once they are in, and they are, anything can happen. They play really well in the playoffs and don't care if it's on the road or at home. Seeing them go to Indy would be funny. Payton's season ending to the Pats one more time.
At least if Denver plays the Pats it will be in Denver.

Patriots are 3-5 vs teams with winning records. 6-0 vs teams that suck. They are getting healthier, tho.

Pats are a threat for sure, but I'd still prefer to play them at home than Indy on the road. We can let them knock of Indy if they wish.

Dillon is a killer and Bruschi knows how to read an offense. I think this team is a lot better with these two guys out there making it happen.
Broncos would have a hard time with either one I think. The Broncos, despite any rants on my part, can beat any team out there but they are vulnverable and have to play some really inspired football.
Right now Chargers are man handling the Colts first stringers by 10 points with Colts looking to score on 2nd and goal. Good stuff.
I think the Chargers are going to beat Chiefs.

We will have 4th seed most likely playing Jax in wildcard game at Gillette. Steelers play at Cinncinnati in other game. If Pitt wins they go to Indy and we go to Denver (if we win). In that case I get to put a lot of faces to the names on this site at the OF1 tailgate (if they let me stop by for a couple of Beers) They only guys I remember are Meck and Disco (who wouldn't?) from the October game. ( I got bounced on return flight to Boston last time, ( how appropriate for that weekend)so I already have a free flight)

pats still suck.they are not going anywhere.beating an offenseless tampa team in cold foxboro isnt all that impressive.they were supposed to win anyways.it wasnt a shocker.if the pats can go to indy and beat indy then ill say they are back but they are not the same team they were last year and sooner or later every champions time is up.

Here's my thoughts:
1. New England is a team that is really getting hot. Right now, I think they are playing with a lot of confidence. Their secondary still sucks, but they are putting a lot of pressure on QB's right now so that kind of equallizes the 2ndary shortcomings!
So that leads to thoughts 2-7 or so:
#1 Indy
#2 Denver
#3 Cincy hosts # 6 Pittsburg (Cincy wins)
#4 New England hosts #5 Jacksonville (NE wins)
That means Cincy comes to Denver (#2 hosts #3) and New England goes to Indy (#1 hosts #4). I'm not saying that we'll beat Cincy and I'm not saying that the Pats will beat Indy... but you have a decent shot at seeing Denver hosting NE in the AFC Championship game! That would be nice, but NE is also a different team now than what we played 6 weeks ago.

we need a few more teams to hype up come playoff time. One wouldn't know that we are 11-3 and have the inside track to the number two seed.

Write off the Pats at your own peril. That team has proved the unbelievers wrong year after year. They'll do it again this year. They have already started down that road. I would much rather see Cincy in Denver than the Pats. Let them go into Indy and smack around the Colts for everyone else!
