How did Dills not score on that Drive?
Surprisingly Sterling Sharpe is a good color man.
Northman
12-17-2005, 06:36 PM
Yes, because having the #3 or 4 seed would be great
Any seed is good this year but no one is beating the Colts. But, just as long as we make the playoffs and the Queefs dont will bring a smile to my face for this year.

Our D can play when it wants too....
Yeah, thank God they can contain a team ranked 30th in total offense and 29th in scoring offense. This should give everyone plenty of confidence in the unit for the rest of the season.

Buffalo wins the toss and elects to receive th opening kickoff.
Kicker Jason Elam (http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.php?id=498&contentID=713) comes on to the field for the opening kickoff, instead of punter Todd Sauerbrun (http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.php?id=498&contentID=4360), who had been handling kickoff duties for most of the season. The kick is fielded at the 17 and returned to the Bills 44 by Terrence McGee.
13:57
Holcomb finds wide receiver Eric Moulds for 26 yards down to the Denver 26. Moulds fround a soft spot in the zone on the near sideline and hauled the pass in close to the near sidline. After a run by Willis McGahee, Holcomb finds Moulds for 3-yards on an out route and a first down inside the 20.
12:13
Holcomb fires for the end zone, but lofts the ball a little too high for tight end Mark Campbell. Lynch covers for the Broncos.
11:30
Holcomb lines up in the shotgun on third-and-4, and finds Josh Reed on the outside. Reed is dropped by Champ Bailey (http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.php?id=498&contentID=2152) in the flat short of the first down, but the Bills elect to go for it on fourth-and-2 at the Denver 8.
10:44
After a timeout, the Bills snap the ball on fourth down. Holcomb finds fullback daimon Shelton. The fullback stops for a moment at the marker, then plows ahead for the first down, with the ball popping out of bounds just at the goal line. The Bills send McGahee up the middle on the next play for a 1-yard touchdown run.
10:10
The Broncos challenge the rulling on the field, but the play stands. A false start penalty backs Buffalo up 5 yards but Rian Lindell kicks the extra point to give the Bills a 7-0 lead after a nine-play, 56-yard drive.
9:10
The Broncos fail to convert on third-and-1 from their own 42. The drive ends after three straight passes, with one completion to Smith. The third down attempt bounced off a diving Stephen Alexander's (http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.php?id=498&contentID=4187) fingertips.
9:02
Sauerbrun's punt goes just 38 yards and is downed at the Denver 20.
8:57
The Bills start with a quick pass to Roscoe Parrish. The receiver gains 11 yards down the sideline, with 15 yards added on after D.J. Williams (http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.php?id=498&contentID=2425) is flagged for pushing him down out of bounds. The yards are picked back up when Buffalo is called for holding on the next play.
7:56
Wilson drops Shaud Williams for a a 2-yard loss in a great athletic play by the linebacker on first down. Wilson knocks a pass down on the next play, bringing up third-and-17 from the Bills 38. A draw play fails to pick up the first down to the displeasure of the home crowd.
5:50

5:07
Plummer hits Smith on a crossing route for a 24-yard gain and a first down inside Buffalo territory.
3:20
Plummer fires too high for Smith on third-and-3 from the Bills 43, bringing on Sauerbrun from another punt. A holding penalty handicapped the drive for the Broncos. The punt is fair caught at the Bills 11.
3:05
The Broncos are called for jumping offside for the second time in the quarter. Gerard Warren did however hit Holcomb on the play, which resulted in a free 5-yards. The quarterback is known for his ability with the hard count.
1:53
Moulds and Holcomb convert on third down and a little more when the receiver breaks a Sam Brandon tackle. The Bills line up first down at their own 33 after the play and goes deep for Lee Evans, but the pass flies just through his hands and past Broncos safety Nick Ferguson (http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.php?id=498&contentID=715). Another high throw on the next play, brings on the punt team.
0:16

SECOND QUARTER
13:45
The Bills fail to score and a pooch punt in field goal formation bounces into the end zone. The Broncos take over first-and-10 at their own 20.
12:26
Anderson tries to go over left guard to pick up the first down on thrid-and-2 and falls short. The Broncos are forced to punt again, this time with the line of scrimmage at their own 29.
11:29
Holcomb finds Moulds for a big completion in the middle of zone defense. Moulds catch comes between four Broncos and goes for 27 yards down to the Broncos 36.
10:28
Holcomb is sacked by Wilson while trying to scramble out of the pocket. The play goes for 5-yard loss and brings up second down. A pass falls incomplete on the next play, and a false start on third down brings up third-and-24.
9:30
Brian Moorman's punt is downed at the Denver 7. Flags after the play in the middle of a scuffle goes against Denver and Buffalo. The Broncos are called for a personal foul, while Buffalo is flagged for having an ineligible man down field. It all sorts out to a re-kick, which Charlie Adams (http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.php?id=498&contentID=774) fair catches at the 15.
9:15
Plummer throws a very high, arching pass to Smith that the veteran hauls in at the Denver 49 -- a 34-yard gain. Two plays later, Plummer finds Smith on a quick slant for a first down into Bills territory.
7:38
Plummer is pressured on third-and-10 at the Bills 37 and throws incomplete. The punt team comes on the field and Sauerbrun lofts a kick that is fair caught at the Bills 15.
6:48
Domonique Foxworth (http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.php?id=498&contentID=4341) breaks up a pass intended for Lee Evans on second-and-4. Foxworth is starting in place of Darrent Williams, another rookie in the Broncos secondary.
6:06
Broncos defensive end John Engelberger (http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.php?id=498&contentID=4499) drops Evans on third down short of the marker, bringing in the punt team. The kick is fielded by Adams inside his own 30, where he slips and is touchdown down at the Broncos 32.
5:29
The Broncos are called for holding for the second time on the night, backing the ball up to the Denver 27 and repeating first down. Plummer is sacked on the next play by Jeff Posey.
4:33
Denver bursts out of its hole when Plummer finds tight end Jeb Putzier (http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.php?id=498&contentID=780) for a 28-yard gain down the far sideline. The play could have went for more, but Putzier slipped at the Denver 45. A pass to Smith and a rush over right tackle by Anderson gives the Broncos a first down on Buffalo's side of the field as the game nears the two-minute warning.
2:35
Smith hauls in his eighth catch for 116 yards.
1:52
Plummer scrambles out of the pocket and runs over the left side for 18 yards and a first down. The Broncos line up with three wide at the Bills 10, handing the Ball to Bell who rushes in for the touchdown. A flag on the play goes for holding against Putzier.
1:39
Two incomplete passes brings up third-and goal from the Bills 14. Plummer lines up with Bell behind him and throws to the corner of the end zone for Alexander. The receivers is ruled out of bounds, but a roughing the passer penalty keeps the offense on the field and moves the ball closer
1:22
An incomplete pass in the end zone and a rush by Anderson over right tackle brings up another third down, this one at the 3. The Broncos call a timeout to think about the play and run the clock under a minute.
When the ball is snapped, it is tipped in the end zone and hauled in by Smith just in the shadow of the goal post. The officials talked over the call after the play and confirmed their decision.
The extra point ties the game at 7.
0:29
Holcomb's pass for Williams is tipped and juggled by Wilson, who can't gather it in for the interception.

At this point, I'm only hoping for our first playoff win in the 21st century, anything more would be a shocking gift.
